  • Poll (take it FWIW) says a majority of Americans, and even a plurality of black Americans, don’t want those Confederate statues torn down.
  • Others, OTOH, want to begin with Lincoln, then tear down every monument to anyone who ever owned a slave. Bye-bye Washington and Jefferson. Bye-bye signers of the nation’s founding documents. Welcome to un-personhood. (Going to be quite interesting when that state at the top left corner of the U.S. is known only as ____________________.)

Well of course the ACLU must insist that those who were more oppressed than others be specially protected and obviously need more rights than others. Equality is seldom the end The goal is the power of the elites over a profoundly divided nation.

    Ours was yesterday:

    Aug. 19, Wet N’ Wag
SA 5-7 p.m. Bring your swim suit and 4-legged friend to the Olympic Pool to enjoy a refreshing afternoon swim. Current proof of rabies vaccination is required upon registration. Kerrville Municipal Pool, 601 Olympic Dr. 257-7300. http://www.kerrvilletx.gov.

    Ours was free.

Darwin sounds appropriate; I’m guessing she won’t reproduce any more.
And I’m pretty sure it wasn’t a standard shotgun.

Here’s a baseball player’s take on the statue mess:

“I’m 54 years old,” (Charles) Barkley told Karle. “I’ve never thought about those statues a day in my life. I think if you ask most black people, to be honest, they ain’t thought a day in their life about those stupid statues.”

Antifa reminds me of the communists in countries the Nazis had overrun, and how the Soviet communists waited to “free” the countries until the Nazis had wiped them out.
