All right, children. It’s pop-quiz time! But don’t worry; I’m sure you’re all well prepared. Here goes.
1. The FDA gave full approval to the Pfizer COVID shot today (brand name Comorbidity Comirnaty). Does that mean the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson shots must immediately halt, since emergency use authorizations are only valid if no approved treatment exists?
A. Yes.
B. No.
C. Who the &^%$# knows what the law says? Does anybody even care any more?
D. The government is always right; you should be reported for asking this question.
E. Kill all the unvaxxed!
—
2. The FDA approved the Pfizer COVID shot without holding hearings and without complete data from clinical trials, ignoring their own regulations. Does that mean that the Moderna and Johnson & Johnson COVID shots are still completely legit?
A. Yes.
B. Yes and No, because the government can do no wrong.
C. No, because they were never legit in the first place
D. Who the &^%$# knows what the law says? Does anybody even care any more?
E. Kill all the unvaxxed!
—
3. In Afghanistan the Biden administration “managed” the U.S. exit by telling the Taliban when it was going home, pulling soldiers out while leaving up to 50,000 U.S. and allied civilians behind with no exit plan, allowing primitive warlords to capture billions of dollars of sophisticated weaponry, screwing over NATO allies, blaming Donald Trump, but issuing a “sternly worded letter” ordering the Taliban to treat women better in the future. No one in the administration or the entire Democrat party seems to consider any of this a problem. However, this is a problem because (choose all that apply):
A. Chaos was inevitable, but holy cats, people, this gives new meaning to the word “incompetence.”
B. Chaos was inevitable, but jeez you didn’t have to go out of your way to encourage it.
C. Chaos was inevitable, but could have been mitigated it if you’d put less emphasis on critical race theory and a witch hunt for white supremacists in the military and more emphasis on, you know, strategy and tactics.
D. What the &^%$#! were we doing in Afghanistan — EVER?
E. Send all the unvaxxed to Afghanistan!
—–
So. Last week I wrote about what to do when we’re screwed, noting how much faster our screwedness is advancing than ever before in our lifetimes.
This week doubled down. Even by the ever-abysmal standards of governments everywhere, the combination of incompetence, irresponsibility, dangerousness, and arrogance we’re witnessing now hasn’t been seen since … well, I dunno. Maybe the Caligula administration? (Although, as the joke goes, Caligula was better than we are because he put his entire horse into government, not just its ***.)
That’s why I’m conflating COVID shots with Afghanistan, why the title of this post is Afghanijabistan. Because, fellow citizens and stunned visitors from other worlds, the disasters are one and the same.
Which debacle will be the more deadly in the long run, time will tell. But you can bundle both up in the same corpse-stinking shroud of lieshysteriaforcepropagandawastecronyismandjustplainevil. Both are absolutely classic examples of how governments work — and how people keep falling for the same old tactics year after year, century after century, even when they have ample evidence that the government is not on their side and is in fact lying with every word any government representative utters.
Ahem.

Today I want to talk about the so-called vaccines, more accurately called treatments, inoculations, or anything other than vaccines. Because as is plain to the entire universe now, they never prevented illness, and all those “experts” making claims of 94% effectiveness were lying with the best of them.
I’ll start out by saying that I don’t care what your shot status or your opinion about PfizerModernaJanssen is. That’s your business. That used to be The American Way.
Most of my friends got inoculations. They know I didn’t. We are at peace. If you took your shots, I wish you well. If you didn’t, I wish you well.
I’m afraid of COVID, so I work hard to boost my immune system. I’m more afraid of sticking scantily tested chemicals into my body on the advice of government and media “experts” (“Brought to you by those good folks who gave you … Afghanistan! Vietnam! Bad advice on AIDS! MKUltra! The Tuskeegee Experiment!”) when decades of research have produced NO non-deadly coronavirus vaccine and NO successful mRNA vaccine.
There is mounting evidence that the shots may be more debilitating or deadly in the long run than COVID itself. That’s not proven. It’s far from a certainty. And in any case what’s best for one body may be hazardous to another. But … the truth is out there. And emerging despite the best efforts of all the cronies.
I do know that I’m one of the millions for whom forced inoculations are a line in the sand. All those years we thought the line in the sand might be drawn over guns or free speech. Here it is, carved deep, over something even more fundamental: our right to control our own bodies.
Today’s FDA decision (or so the media informs us smugly, though they don’t phrase it quite this way) opens the door to requiring the shots as a condition of functioning in society.
But — a bonus question on our pop quiz! — which way is it going to go from here? (Choose all that apply.)
A. Federally ordered vaccine passports;
B. Cronyist mandates in the form of businesses refusing to hire or serve the unvaxxed (this one’s a gimme; it’s already begun);
C. McCarthyesque smear campaigns and ostracisms;
D. Mob action against the unjabbed, but mostly online;
E. Serious, real-world mob action against the unjabbed, resulting in killings and property destruction
F. Camps;
G. Forced inoculations under threat of imprisonment, death or other punishment (physical, financial, etc.)
H. (Even faster) economic collapse as 20-40% of employees refuse to submit and quit their jobs. (This one’s also a gimme; jab mandates have already created nurse shortages in hospitals across the country.)
I. Some other totalitarian or witch-hunting thing I haven’t thought of.
Well, yeah. All of the above and more are possible and some already well underway. But bigotry leading to potential mob action is the uptick I see this week.
Just as evidence emerges that the vaxxed are as vulnerable to infection as the unvaxxed (with the media still talking about “rare breakthrough cases” while new outbreaks sometimes see 50 or 75 or 83% of their victims in the fully jabbed category) rage and contempt against the unvaxxed seem to be ramping up to the point where, for the first time, multiples of my friends and acquaintances are reporting some sort of snub or threat because of their “unclean” status.
MY unclean status, too.
A few examples from the last few days:
* During a (physically distanced) restaurant lunch, an otherwise completely sane and nice man told me he and his wife were going to pack all their own food for an upcoming road trip from the Northwest to the rustbelt — solely to avoid contact with any humans in states like Wyoming that have low vax rates. I realized for the first time in a very personal way that people I like and who once liked me would hate me if they knew I was one of those people. My thoroughly vaxxed friend who was sitting at the table gave me significant glances but blessedly didn’t out me as a plague carrier.
* At a social event with workmates, a woman was shunned after she felt compelled by politeness to tell a hugger she wasn’t jabbed. A few co-workers braved the general climate to greet and sit with her, but word spread and most treated her as if she had cooties.
* One family is making contingency plans for when they lose not only their livelihood, but also the church they support and hoped would give them social support in return.
* People are reporting that their doctors are refusing to treat them if they haven’t submitted to the jab.
* Another woman wrote — right here in comments on last week’s post — that a neighbor she was dining with proposed sending all the east-U.S. unvaxxed to Gitmo and all the west-U.S. unvaxxed to Alcatraz. (Aside from the fact that said neighbor must not really understand the scope of the task, that’s a scary thing to hear someone say TO you and ABOUT you.)
* A mother refused to take her son’s weekly phone call because he wasn’t jabbed.
* And while this isn’t from the last few days, it’s been ongoing for a year. I was introduced to a person who made his career in vaccine development at one of the major pharmaceutical companies. He absolutely will not take the jab, but he no longer tries to explain his understanding to anybody. They treat him as if he’s tin-foil hat crazy merely because he disagrees with government “experts.”
Bigots almost universally believe that all the unvaxxed are flat-earthing, toothless psycho deplorables straight out of Deliverance — and the worst accusation of all, Trump v*ters! (even though the single largest percentage of vaccine refusal is among PhD holders). I’m pretty sure that the terrified acquaintance I shared my lunch table with simply assumed I was jabbed because I wasn’t drooling over a banjo while wearing a MAGA hat.
And worse, these bigots feel self-righteous in regarding their former compatriots this way. The concept that they themselves are about as hate-filled and judgmental of the “other” as a combined rally of the KKK and the American Nazi Party doesn’t occur to them.
Those dumb, dirty unvaxxed subhumans are KILLING PEOPLE. We, the superior members of the species, are dying because we tolerate such filthy vermin in our midst!
—–
Yeah, well maybe it won’t come to the ultimate consequence of that kind of thinking. Maybe someone will will wake up to the fact that WE aren’t the ones infecting and killing people. And oh, isn’t that blame so conveniently placed to deflect attention from the “experts” making billions and seizing power as they set THEE against Me. And my friends. And a lot of other very good people who simply follow the evidence they see and practice the good old live-and-let-live — but who are now on the verge of becoming pariahs.
Maybe the political will simply won’t be strong enough to force us into either needle lines or camps. Maybe people will come to their senses.
Maybe enough people will come to understand that we are not “hesitant” but informed and adamant. Maybe somebody in Authoritah will ultimately realize that even if we are still vermin in his eyes, there are way, way, way too many millions to eradicate en masse.
Or maybe before this catastrophe of hatred goes too far some other kind of panic will be ginned up over some other subject and our verminous evils will suddenly become as irrelevant as the supposed evils of last year’s plastic straws.
But we all know, or ought to, what can happen once one group of people in a society are singled out as vermin — infectious, loathsome, deserving extermination by our very nature.
The gates of Hell opened today. I paraphrase a friend. Of course you could say that those gates have been open a long, long time. Maybe they just opened wider to accommodate more chaos. But today the FDA, an unelected, unaccountable tentacle of Our Beloved Government, swept away by diktat the last remaining barrier to forced inoculations and so-called vaccine passports.
And I keep saying, more and more these days, that while I’ve never gone wrong by being paranoid, I’ve many times gotten a nasty surprise after not being paranoid enough.

Dear people, vaxxed and unvaxxed: be ready.
We the Unvaxxed may lose our jobs, our doctors, our families, our support networks, even our freedom to enter a grocery store to feed ourselves. We may lose our freedom to make decisions about our own bodies. We have already lost the ability in many places to attend a concert, go to a sporting event, eat in a restaurant or go to a gym or a yoga class (NYC, L.A. and SF, for starters). How many thousands of you out there have quietly quit work? How many of you wonder what comes next?
Have a Plan A. Add a Plan B and Plan C — because the craziness is moving so rapidly we can’t really predict anything these days. If Plans A, B, and C all fall through, at least you’ll have adjusted to being flexible.
Have plans to get OUT of places where you’re forbidden to function. Then have backup plans, because cutting off transportation routes is already a favorite of authoritarians, and one of the easiest totalitarian acts to justify.
Have plans for self defense, whether against freelance mobs, soldiers of the regime, or insane do-gooders running door-to-door jabbing squads
Keep a low profile — for now. In public pretend you’re just another conforming “normal.” Unless of course you’re an Agitator who thrives on confrontation or has already had as much “normal” as s/he can stomach.
Read this article offered by Noah Body in the comment section on last week’s blog. And remember: You cannot argue with a crazed mob — not even when that mob is made up of your friends, family, and neighbors.
You, our vaxxed but tolerant allies, are going to face your own trials, too. Just defending the currently undefendable may get you censored, banned, and condemned. Merely asking too many questions or watching the “wrong” videos may get you in hot water. As the unvaxxed abandon jobs and travel and whatever else we may be forced to abandon to keep the integrity of our own bodies, you’ll also suffer the economic consequences of their desertion, whatever those consequences may be.
Things are moving fast. Insanely fast.
We really don’t know how far this hatred is going to go. We can’t be ready. But we must be ready.
Spot on Claire. My new “homestead” was selected because it’s far removed and can function indefinitely once the gates are closed. I’m overwhelmed with all it is requiring of me and I’m exhausted, my bones hurt, and my muscles are spasming, but I feel it’s 100% necessary in these times – whatever they are. On the rare occasions that I go to town, I act as if I’m just like everyone else and quickly go about my business while appearing to meander casually and with a smile. Who would even know my medical status or that I’m a tinfoil hat on steroids? I am prepared to lose my income and my healthcare. Checked the price of the kind of ammo I want more of – prices still really high but at least it’s available. As I was unpacking some boxes I found the spare loaded mags and I patted them and gave thanks that I had tucked them away in a nondescript box.
It seems lost on The Powers That Be that demonizing us for exercising our free will IS NAZISM. But, I have a hunch they don’t care. A whole swath of our society has been practicing hatred, in real time, ever since this whole pandemic thing started. It hit me most when one of my own sisters lambasted me earlier this year. I was stunned at the hatred. I haven’t recovered that relationship and politely will not. She reminds me of the holier-than-thou Germans who turned on their neighbors and friends who were Jewish, and sent them to their deaths. They felt righteous in exterminating the vermin. I am extremely cautious about whom I associate with. It helps that I’m in a new locale where no one knows anything about me.
I think the Times ahead are going to be more difficult on people who enjoy and want a “social life”, for the ill financially prepared it’s going to be brutal. Ugh. We are in for a rough, rough ride.
Thank you for this, Claire.
I have eight days before the sheeit hits the fan at work. Prove good-German jab status OR mask-and-weekly-test. (No option provided to seek an exemption, which would only be an admission of non-vaxxed status anyhow.)
I don’t plan to do either; in fact, I intend to refuse to disclose.
But that will probably mean being frog-marched out of the place before long.
Still in the probationary period (1 year) at this job, though, so it might end up making more sense to quit and thereby maintain a smidgen of autonomy over what happens, before they fire me… because they can and I’m sure they will.
I just don’t know. As you say, planning is well-nigh impossible anymore.
Sorry I’ve been radio-silent for a long while now. Have found your recent posts valuable, though.
I have family members facing the exact same thing right now. I guess we’ll see who the truly Brave people are very soon. Sending prayers your way.
Thank you, Granny. I’ve really enjoyed reading your comments! And best to you and yours as well in these darkening times.
My company, a large French pharmaceutical company, requires employees to upload a scan of their vaccination card or they must wear a mask upon return to work October 4. I’m not vaccinated and refuse to wear a face mask. I will turn in my resignation when my boss returns from vacation August 30.
I implement the dont ask dont tell policy….I tell people it’s none of their damn business what my health decisions are…I was asked by a woman in the beginning if i was getting the shot, I told her, I dont ask you if you ever had an abortion do I ? or if your tubes are tied, or when your last Pap smear was or what the results were.because its none of my business, Show me the same respect. It’s none of your damn business!
Claire this is a great description of the craziness we have descended into. I agree with all the aforementioned and would only add that instead of the vaxxed being afraid of the unvaxxed, the unvaxxed should be afraid of contracting the experimental drug by being in contact with the vaxxed. Additionally, pray you don’t end up in the hospital and need a blood transfusion. If the blood is from someone who has had the experimental drug then guess what? Make sure the only blood you receive is from unvaxxed donors. Good luck on that!
As always Claire, you are so smart and right in your outlook! I too am refusing the jab. And times are crazy-people are crazier. Everything in this country is falling apart-from having stocked shelves at the grocery to getting gas for the car. I am a lot like granny; I do what I need to do without engaging in conversation anywhere near the CovidCrap. At work, I mostly stick to myself, and so far that has worked. My beloved Los Angeles, which was sane and fun and exciting when I grew up is now ruled by Gollum. It used to be “what’s your dream? LA makes dreams come true!”. Now it is a nightmare with the Nazis demanding “Papers, please!”. Stay gray and uninteresting. And get your windows blacked out.
free.and.true — I wish I could say I’m glad to hear from you again and to know you’re still out there. I wish I weren’t hearing what your company is doing to you. It seems you’ve had nothing but struggle the last 10 years, and in part that’s my doing, as you know better than anyone. I’m so sorry you’re facing the prospect of financial struggle again. Be strong and brave — but do whatever you have to do.
And Granny, I agree with free.and.true. I always look forward to reading your comments. You are smart and supportive and gutsy and going out on your own, and what could be a better combo, these days?
Infidel1776 — Thank you for your courage and principles. I know such things can’t feed you in these perilous times, but they are invaluable. And FWIW, some of us appreciate them enormously.
Simmerjet — Where’s that thumbs-ip emoji whent it’s most needed? Kudos to you.
Of course, people will respond, “Abortions and pap smears aren’t deadly viruses.” The proper attitude is still “nunya bidness.” Besides, if the jabs work so well, then the vaxxed have nothing whatsoever to fear from the unjabbed. And if they DO fear, they should be asking much harder questions about why that is.
Fred — Ack! I didn’t even think about blood transfusions! Remind me to start storing my own blood if I may need medical procedures.
And sadly, I agree with you on the unvaxxed and fearing the vaxxed. I love my friends, but I look at those who’ve been jabbed and I wonder which of them might be carrying some new variant of COVID without even knowing they are because the one verity in all this (SO FAR!) is that the vaxxed can carry the disease without knowing it more than the unvaxxed are likely to do.
Stealth Spaniel — Welcome to the Commentariat! Kudos for your convictions. (Also, anybody who has a dog-related nym and avatar is okay by me).
I know what it’s like to see a beloved home go straight to hell You have my sympathies there.
I agree, let’s be as very, very uninteresting as we can be — until the day comes to be very interesting, indeed.
This isn’t going to end well. Some people are going to get shot. I can see it happening soon.
Meet your fellows at your local Galt’s Gulch and begin the Renaissance.
Claire – The lack of an advisory committee hearing is the most concerning thing to me. The purpose of those committees is to give a non-biased, public vetting of the drug or biologics by Key Opinion leasers and experts. They have killed products in the past. The fact that this did not take place even though the FDA assures us that the product was extremely and thoroughly vetted is concerning, to say the least, as well as the fact they continue to have limited long term safety data (yes, I know that they made them commit to the Phase 4 Long term safety study, but that is effectively a real time safety study).
The other two products? You are right; in general once a product is removed from Emergency Use Authorization other products should (in theory) be pushed off EUA status and back into the full application process. My guess, given the circumstances, is that they will still be allowed as long as they continue to have rolling submissions.
Some genius once said the only way the United States will fall is from within. Apparently we are dead set on doing that to ourselves as quickly as possible.
[…] I do know that I’m one of the millions for whom forced inoculations are the line in the sand C… […]
Clair, I’m afraid you miscalculated slightly, while it WAS too late to work within the system, it was NOT too EARLY to shoot the bastards!
I’ve been saying it for years – Orwell gave us the watered down version.
Hi Claire
Excellent article, may I have your permission to link to it on FB? Here in SOIN there’s been no real push – the only place I have to wear a mask is a doc’s office, no matter what the stores and other places ‘recommend’. You’d think the doc’s would recognize the futility of masking, but no . . . .
Take care.
Well said Claire.
We all have decisions to make.
Decisions as individuals, decisions as members of our families, decisions that are life altering, IMHO life and death decisions.
My decision is to resist tyranny and stand for freedom with every opportunity given.
Cowardly Lion — How nice to “see” you again. Of course, link away. You don’t even need my permission, though it’s nice of you to ask.
thor odinsson — I don’t know whether to laugh or cry at that. But … point taken. (And welcome to the Commentariat.)
T_B — I know you work in the medical field. Myself, I don’t have enough background to know what aspects of the shiny new FDA approval are most concerning, so thank you for your (truly, unlike, say, Fauci) expert viewpoint.
On this point, however:
… it doesn’t take an expert to agree with you on that.
Although I try to go with Occam’s Razor wherever possible, the destruction we’re suffering now can’t possibly be the result of mere ineptitude, incompetence, big government dreams, etc. This much destruction this fast has simply got to be purposeful.
Then of course the purpose is augmented by incompetence, careerism, useful idiots, and many other things. Sigh.
Ms. Wolfe – first time commenter here – two items to note:
First, I am a long-time blood donor to the American Red Cross. In the last year the ARC has tested my donated blood for covid antibodies. The past four donations showed I still have the antibodies in my system, though I never knew I had been exposed to same and had no symptoms. The ARC now doesn’t let you know anymore if you have the covid antibodies, but I do know that they have been taking blood from donors who have also been ‘vaccinated’ with the mRNA solutions. Take that for what it may be worth.
Blood from the ARC may or may not be from ‘vaccinated’ donors.
Second(ly) – I have firsthand experienced the ‘othering’ that you spoke of early in your blogpost. What was a brief initially cordial conversation by phone recently with a fellow retiree I had worked with for more than 20 years turned quickly downhill when he asked me if I had been vaccinated. My gently negative response was all he needed to inform me he no longer wished to associate with me even though we had been cordial and social over the years in spite of being on opposite sides of the political spectrum. Before he told me he never wanted to hear from me or have anything to do with me again, he also took the time to add on his grievances with all of my other sins he ‘tolerated’ from me all these past years (firearms, the South, racism, etc.). So it IS coming, folks, believe me. In spades.
redclay7
Comrade X, Val E. Forge, Dio at the workshop and others — Yes.
We may have multitudes of real enemies of freedom and even larger multitudes of foolish followers “out to get us.” But I’m glad to now we have some pretty strong friends around here, too.
Redclay – I am sorry that happened to you with your (now former) friend. I fear that this is going to become a thing more and more, as the decision to not take the vaccine or support those who do not take the vaccine will be seen as the justification for protesting all supposed violations for all time.
Welcome to the Commentariat, redclay7. I appreciate your voice-of-experience data on blood donations. Until Fred M raised the issue, I had never even thought about this issue. Worth checking into. (And congratulations oh having the antibodies without enduring the disease.)
then, sadly, you are literally the second person I’ve heard from today who has had someone close to them act as if, somehow, they could catch COVID (or cooties) over the phone. It must have been a shock. I’m sorry you had to endure that. OTOH, if he also felt the need to unload years of unstated grievances on you, you gotta wonder how true of a friend he ever was, to hold such grudges while saying nothing.
But you add one more piece of evidence: The hatred is real. “It” IS coming. I try not to be an alarmist. But anyone who’s not alarmed really isn’t paying enough attention.
Claire here is an article that explores in more depth the impact those who have had the experimental drug, have on those who haven’t.
https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/vaccinated-healthcare-workers-threat-unvaccinated-patients-co-workers/
Dear redclay7,
I also have felt the sting of associates, family and friends who have distanced themselves from me. This a tactic of divide and conquer, and it’s working. Love covers a multitude of sin but sometimes you have to let them go. This is a rising crescendo and will peak once we leave suddenly. Some hate because it keeps them warn, other don’t even know why, as they are swept up in the delusion.
As for blood I stopped donating decades ago. Now with the meds I take it would not be a prudent thing. For those who do donate verify with your GP if the meds you take would harm others.
Claire- Thanks for your posts. Similar mind sets. Don’t let the world steal your peace. It is your most powerful weapon against evil. It’s also your birthright as a believer.
I follow the grey man theory as best I can.
Cheers!
Polimath
Is this what we have to look forward to;
https://off-guardian.org/2021/08/23/australia-is-going-full-fascist-but-resistance-is-growing/
I had Covid back in December, as did my wife and a cousin who lives with us. The cousin eagerly lined up at the VA for her shot, and my wife got hers after the 90-day “waiting period.”
My daughter, both grandkids, a friend who was staying with them, and my son-in-law’s mother all are in quarantine after positive tests. All were vaccinated. My SIL is negative. He got the Pfizer, the others got Moderna. (Not saying that makes a difference.)
Locally the PTB are saying we’re in a surge, and all the people getting Covid are “UNvaccinated.” Apparently no one is tracking whether those who have recovered from Covid are getting sick. It doesn’t matter, there is only vaxxed and unvaxxed. We’re planning to fly to see our grandkids later this year. That could get interesting.
My wife wants me to get vaccinated. I have natural immunity, which all the studies I’ve seen show is better than the jab. I’ve offered to show her the studies. It doesn’t matter. Everyone is supposed to get vaccinated, so I must.
This from someone who will not lock her truck when it’s parked out on our driveway, regardless of the fact that she proofreads the local vehicle burglary reports every week. Or take similar security precautions. (To be fair, our local crime rate is half the national average.)
Love is a many-splintered thing.
Very succinct, and a sobering and thought-provoking read. Thank you.
The Afghanistan withdrawal was always going to be a shit-show — that’s what losing a war looks like.
One group I had a little, but have rapidly diminishing, sympathy for are the non-military/non-government employee Americans (aid workers, missionaries, etc.) who were warned by the US State Department in June to get the hell out while the getting was good, but decided to dick around instead and now have people wailing on their behalf that the withdrawal should be postponed and US troop lives put at risk to rescue their dumb asses.
I’ve been wondering what the real reason is for Afghanijabistan… This might explain it:
https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2021/08/24/deja-vu-overnight-nancy-pelosi-changes-house-rules-to-pass-green-new-deal-3-5-trillion-spending-package-while-everyone-distracted-by-afghanistan/#more-215821
If you add it up, $7 TRILLION in spending. The politicians and their families and friends get massive kick backs and jobs.
In case anybody needs a reminder, here’s what the people imposing all this misery really do among themselves and really think of us.
https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/tucker-carlson-elitist-democrats-want-you-to-shut-up-and-obey
To all the folks who kindly responded to my observations on blood donations and othering, I will add this about blood donations: The ARC definitely wants to know if you have been ‘vaccinated’ and which ‘vaccination’ you received. They will still take your blood ‘vaccinated’ or not, but methinks they segregate the blood from there. I find it hard to believe the ARC will ever refuse to take my ‘unvaccinated’ blood.
Over 35 years of donating blood, I know the ARC makes money off of my whole blood, but I find that other than for lowering my iron levels to help prevent heart issues, donating is one of the few ways I can give to others without reservation and anonymously at that. The blood donation screenings over the years have gotten stricter and eventually I know that something will happen to me that will defer me for good from doing this. That is part of the reason why there are always fewer donors than needed.
Also know that the ARC is incessant in its pleas for more blood. I used to go on my own schedule and now I get emails and snail mail every two months wanting blood and platelets, etc.. It has gotten so annoying they not only offer you little gift cards and swag but now chances to win tickets to concerts and a travel trailer. All I ever wanted was the t-shirt if offered in my size.
It’s still a good cause, but beware of the marketing. redclay7
OK, so there’s Covid-19. Then came the Alpha variant, followed by the Beta variant and Gamma variant, leading to the Delta variant, and an Eta variant in the list somewhere. Now there’s the Lambda variant. The Greek alphabet has 24 letters so I figure we’re looking at 18 more variants in the pipeline. I wonder if Prince Fauci has the schedule for their release. Anyone asked him?
American Airlines announced, sort of, that they’ll probably require the “Jab for the Job” – the unvaxxed won’t be permitted to work for them. Over at Raconteur Report Aesop may be headed out the door because his hospital is doing the same thing.
Latest figgers say about 70% of people living Where America Used To Be have been jabbed at least once, with some states showing much lower percentages; I’m guessing a lot of the remaining 30%+ includes the Dreaded Unwashed Skeptics, aka “those @&$%* Deplorables.”
Greg Ellifritz reported on his blog an 8-day hospital stay when he was able to get back to formerly American soil after coming down with Covid in Equador despite taking every precaution known to man, including the Jab. Despite being sicker than any three dogs and over a week in a top-drawer American hospital he concluded having the Jab kept him off a ventilator.
My Jab status is my business; I tend to not associate with people anyway because, well, I just don’t like most of them very much. I don’t do “Joel Level Hermitage” but the most you’ve ever gotten from me is a wave across the parking lot so hand shaking and hugging ain’t never been on the menu. I still have to go to some stores, but most of them have curbside pickup which works fine for those items I can’t procure online (please let me know if Amazon or The Orange People start home deliveries of plywood, lumber and scotch at reasonable prices, I’ll go for it even with my intense dislike of Amazon and its politics).
Random thought – if Orange Man Bad, then why isn’t The Orange Store bad, too? Aren’t they related by color? And Clemson University’s color is orange, why do so many people want to go there?
Aesop reported his hospital’s staffing levels so low they had about 25% of beds empty because there’s no staff to support the patients if they were in those beds. How will American Airlines fly those planes and handle baggage if they discharge a substantial percentage of employees? If other airlines follow American’s lead, it will cut the planes flying maybe in half, rental car activity drops off the cliff, as do hotel room rentals, restaurants (those that are still open). Money stops flowing. Jobs are lost. Lots of them.
Firing Jabless employees will make them – probably – unemployable anywhere, so how do they pay rent (oh, never mind, the CDC will fix that problem…again) or mortgages, buy groceries, etc. Maybe the feds can fire up the presses again and pump out more dollars; we all know where that will take us so buy your Weimar Wheelbarrow now while stores still have them.
If the “Jobless for Jabless” thing spreads far enough there will be a substantial portion of the population living Where America Used To Be who have no or very few options. They’ll be pretty damn desperate and desperate people do desperate things.
I’m betting on civil war over either this, or something closely associated with J for J. Actually, it won’t be, technically. a “civil war,” it’ll be a Reckoning, a wall-to-wall, curb-to-curb, top-to-bottom Reckoning because once it starts there will be no reason to end it until it’s completely over, and not only will that almost certainly destroy the American Republic, it will wreck the entire world because so much is interlocked; China can rattle its sabres, and lick its chops over Taiwan, but stop the billions of dollars coming from America and the millions of tons of food from America’s farmers and China is in very, very deep doo-doo. There isn’t enough arable land in Taiwan to replace that food, and last time I looked Taiwan – and everyone else on the planet – was really, really short on supplies of American farmers.
It isn’t just China, so will be everyone else on this particular planet.
America is (or, more accurately, was) a mind-bogglingly complex economy that’s interconnected in so many ways it’s impossible to fully understand; severely screwing with one substantial part of it metastasizes the effects throughout so many other parts it’s impossible to predict the effects (for a slightly reasonable fascimile of our economic business model, read The Pencil by Henry Petroski; it’s not the same, certainly, but the random successful voluntary interconnectedness necessary to make a simple wood #2 pencil will give you some idea even though it’s several orders of magnitude less than Everyday America).
Sit down, strap in and hang on, it’s gonna get really bumpy from here. I’ll see you on the other side if any of us make it.
“Although I try to go with Occam’s Razor wherever possible,. . . ”
Claire, I think you are referring to Hanlon’s Razor. While it can be appropriate at times, when it comes to government or others of TPTB, Hanlon’s Razor can often turn into a “get out of jail free” card for them, or a “see no evil monkey” thing for those making the observations.
When it comes to most any of TPTB, I tend to go for more of an Inverse Hanlon’s Razor: malice, often in the form of a desire for power and control, and self-interest, are usually the main motivating factors in their actions. Incompetence or ignorance may *sometimes* be factors, but most of those people have lots of advisors and other resources, so it does not make sense to default to these exonerative possibilities.
“Who’s on first?” updated for COVID.

I assume, that unless I’m unconscious upon arrival, that my days of getting help at a hospital will be over very soon, if not already. Otherwise, luckily, I have a job where I work at home, and nobody has asked about the shot – though I’m still new here. There have been a few impromptu discussions wherein people revealed their vacstat as in, “Got my shot yesterday, so I may be out a couple days this week” kind of thing..
Claire must live in the western portions of Oregon or Washington – sounds like Oregon ( having lived there myself in the now-distant past ). Here in New Hampshire, I have noted far more resistance to the shot. Having gone to several restaurants in the past couple of months, NOBODY asked about vacstats. Grocery stores – I see perhaps 10% of the people wearing masks – most are old people, with the occasional helicopter mom plus kids all wearing them.
My focus right now, is to look for medical information on how to mitigate cytokine storms. That is the apparent problem with the mRNA vaccine trials in the past ( that failed ) with animal studies that exposed the animals to the disease AFTER they were vaccinated – and which killed them. ALL of them.
I could not prevent three family members from getting the shots. So, hopefully, there is a treatment.
Otherwise, I have been investigating ivermectin & starting its use prophylactically. We’re pretty sure the family got COVID early last year, but that doesn’t seem to matter to these clowns.
We’re rural, and have befriended a young farming couple. :p

From the link;
….You may wonder why I suggest that the extended covid response poses the gravest threat to humanity, rather than believing that the real threat is covid-19 and its variants. I will address this question below. But the question underscores the fact that clear precedents for this situation are nonexistent. The world has never seen anything like it and could not have—before the age of digital communications, modern virology and epidemiology, and pharmacological technology.3 What makes the covid regime different from other totalitarian prospects is the fact that “disease” is now the stated basis for its establishment. The ideology is thus infused with the dominant narrative of protecting the population from a pestilence, rather than delivering a future worker’s paradise, for example. This claim by the authorities makes any opposition to their diktats forever fraught with having to refute “the science,” variously and inconsistently delivered by “the experts,” while demonstrating the incommensurability of the response to the perceived threat. The question of freedom becomes embroiled in the question of what freedom means in the face of a possible death sentence, for oneself and others. And yet there is the possibility that the efforts at mitigation themselves amount to a death sentence.
In seeking comparable scenarios to the covid regime, I thought it time to look to Eastern bloc exemplars of resistance. As such, my search led me to the essay that forms part of my title. However distinct the two scenarios, parallels may be drawn between what Havel called the “post-totalitarianism” of Soviet bloc Czechoslovakia and the system developing out of the covid crisis. The issue at stake is pursuing “the aims of life”4 in the face of ongoing terror. It should not matter what side of the fence you are on if pursuing the aims of life is your agenda……..

There is a large and growing group of doctors fighting the COVID lies. https://americasfrontlinedoctors.org/
The surveys I’m seeing published say 60% of us consider vaccines to be biological weapons and threats of forced vaccines an open declaration of war that we are ready to treat as such.
Many employers are backing down from vaccine mandates as far too many good employees prepare to walk out in an era where good employees (replacements) are hard to find. Some are quickly backtracking from mandates upon recognizing the threat massive employee loss represents.
Being fired means unemployment compensation coming out of ex-employer’s unemployment compensation fund.
There is a reason that the administration (singular used deliberately, under the last few sock puppets wearing POTUS hats) has been importing fighting age men who were raised to hate “Americans”. A few shipping containers and mosque basements inside the USofA have been found containing major caches of military-grade weapons. It is reasonable to suspect most armories have not been found. The cities will become very ugly.
We need to work on our spiritual strength. We are witnessing a major turning point for humanity on Earth. This will be more interesting and challenging than any other in recorded history. Lucky us.

Bonus question: Some to all of the above, pick your favorite combinations and permutations.
Whether one gets jabbed or not is their business. Do what you think is best for you, regardless of whether or not I think you’re a damn fool. And I’ll do what I think is best for me, regardless of whether or not you think I’m a damn fool.
Howdy, Claire and all! As usual–wonderful post and comments.
Just an old-timer’s recollections–my Big Sis helps run a Medical Billing outfit. They are always in touch with the MDs, hospitals, insurance critters. She advises me that your donated blood can only be stored for “so long.” I recall it being like 42 days or so. Some Euro outfits claim only 7 days!
What ever you do–STAY AWAY from those “artificial bloods” which even the US Mil had been using; even they stopped using them. They had nasty side effects!
https://www.redcrossblood.org/donate-blood/how-to-donate/types-of-blood-donations/blood-components.html
Welcome CPL.
I looked up artificial blood and I see what you mean:
https://www.medicinenet.com/what_is_artificial_blood_and_why_is_it_used/article.htm#what_are_the_adverse_effects_of_blood_substitutes
And oh — look! Yet another product that won FDA approval, only to have the approval withdrawn after recipients began to experience (yes, very nasty) side effects!
Yikes, larryarnold. What are you going to do?
And so five our of six jabbed people in one household in your family now test positive for COVID, while the local PTB continue to insist that only the unvaxxed get COVID.
Man, that big Egyptian river is a very powerful thing.
I wonder how many people from the FDA got jobs at the pharma companies who invested big into fake blood?
Reminds me of how some DOD people get good jobs in the military industrial complex after approving new weapon systems or excursions into foreign lands.
Funny how that works, don’t ya know?
Great post, Claire.
I have always been fascinated (and horrified) by the history of Nazi Germany, how a whole country went nuts, on a murderous rampage. And now I think it’s happening again, but on a worldwide scale, and we are living through it.
I can only hope people will come to their senses as it is revealed more and more that these “vaccines” don’t work. Jesse Jackson is in the news today, hospitalized with COVID, and he was fully vaccinated. A vaccine is supposed to make you immune, so you can’t catch a disease. By this measure, these shots are a dismal failure.
And the adverse reactions and deaths also mount. The VAERS death count is over 13K at this point. The real number is certainly higher.
Those who drank the Kool Aid might sober up, if we keep pushing the truth, even if they call it disinformation.
However, I think the people behind this PLANdemic are truly evil and won’t give up easily. Dr. Peter McCullough, in a video interview, said he heard from doctors in Africa that some kind of commandos or operatives were raiding clinics there, destroying stocks of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ). There is very little COVID in Sub-Saharan Africa, as malaria is rampant there, and to prevent it people take a HCQ pill once a week. People who do that don’t get COVID. A factory that made HCQ was also burned. I recall reading about that, and thinking . . . coincidence, or . . .? While Dr. McCullough did not come out and say that was arson, he certainly implied it. Anyone who would destroy life-saving medicines so people would get sick from the virus is wicked beyond belief. The people pushing these poison death shots are not trying to save lives.
If I had a job that I cared about, and they were imposing mandatory proof of Covid vaccination, I would create a fake card without feeling a bit guilty.

rental car activity drops off the cliff,
While planning our trip we were told that rental cars are nearly unaffordable. It seems like the rental companies retired a lot of old cars when everything shut down. Now they find the manufacturers can’t get the computer chips needed to build new cars. So they have “limited inventory.”
Our local car dealers are reporting they can’t get enough new cars as well.
Remember when cars didn’t need computers?
What are you going to do?
Day by day.
Larryarnold — I hear you on the rental cars. The reason we were at lunch with the man who was so terrified of Wyoming that he didn’t want to cross the path of a single human who lived there was to swap cars. He was renting my friend’s car for three weeks. He tried to rent one commercially, but a three-week rental was — $5,000!. Ack.
And yes, look what favors those chip-controlled cars have done us. Sure, there are some advantages in sophistication, but I certainly now admire all the preppers who sought out older cars as backups.
Mark, that lovely image is getting a lot of circulation, isn’t it? I know many people who, as we speak, are busily downloading it and filling it in. Of course, fake cards will only result in demands for much more invasive e-cards — which people will also quickly figure out how to fake.
I really think the best solution is to confront the totalitarians head-on over this issue. But you do what you gotta do ….
Noah Body — Thank you for your kind comment and thank you again for the link to the excellent article about not reasoning with an irrational mob.
I also see the hand of evil in this. Sure, most of the people urging the rest of us to go out and stick untested (and ineffective!) chemicals in our bodies are the standard “useful idiots.” But the suppression of information, the campaigns against ivermectin and hydrochloroquine, the hysteria — everything indicates an agenda — and it’s an agenda that’s elitist, anti-human, and truly totalitarian. No doubt about it.
No matter what anybody says, and even if some specific conspiracy theories are truly no more than conspiracy theories, there are people behind this who have blatantly stated that they want fewer humans in the world, people who have made no bones about loathing We the Deplorables, people who see us only as either servants or impediments. There are people like Bill Gates who have unashamedly delivered anti-fertility drugs in the guise of “vaccinations” to third-world girls. People like Klaus Schwab who nakedly desire to run the planet.
I’ve said a hundred times that I’m no follower of conspiracies. But there is truly evil behind this attempt to cow and control every human on the planet.
Query on that one. I’ve heard there’s very little COVID in Sub-Saharan Africa, but I’ve also heard it’s ivermectin they’re taking as a preventative. I haven’t made a study of this — though I think I’ll start — but while I know that both ivermectin and HCQ are useful against COVID, I thought the former was the real miracle worker.
Ahhh, the smell of sweet noncompliance in the morning. Smells like . . . freedom.
We shall become ungovernable, and fairly rapidly at this rate.
Can you get gigavaxxed and try them all?
Just wondering behind my case of masques and bubble wrap provided by mommygov.
Is the bestest government that money can buy too broke to get everyone a hermetically sealed bubble to keep us safe?
My thoughtclouds can be offensive and should be wrapped in a prophylactic and sometimes I do facecrime which is wrongthink.
It begins. Washington state will (with certain exceptions) deny unemployment benefits to people who are let go because they refuse to get jabbed.
https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/politics/washington-workers-who-refuse-vaccine-mandate-unlikely-to-get-unemployment
“Can you get gigavaxxed and try them all?”
I think there are people who’ve done that. They’d be good customers for the human bubble-wrap market. Except of course that they’d want the wrap to be free.
I have a family member leaving Washington state as I write this. They’ve gone full commie. These are perilous times. Another family member tendered her resignation this morning (in CA) and is scared spitless of not having health insurance or an income. I’m praying this insanity will stop. It’s absolutely no different than Communist China forcing sterilization on women during the One Child only policy, that then left the country without enough women for the men to marry.

This is how sick they are.
My take away, they’re soulless, godless, people who think they can create some combination of technology and humans in order to create their self-serving utopia. But, they’ve got to get rid of us freedomistas first.
Just search on “Klaus” and “transhumanism” and it all takes on new (evil) meaning. “The Great Reset” is not just a philosophy. They are earnestly attempting to force it upon us.
I doubt there are any doubters on this forum, but just in case there are: We cannot fight the evil until we identify it fully.

Very interesting information here too.
Something those who chose to get vaxxed can do for the unvaxxed – be ready to shop for them if when the bans come. Friends and neighbors remain friends and neighbors regardless of vax status.
This story is starting to make the rounds. Covid vaxx is only good for about 6 months, +/-. Can’t say much about the quality of the study, but it’s getting a lot of play on my side of the street. It would explain the current case surge in vaccinated individuals quite nicely, though.
https://www.newsmax.com/health/health-news/covid-vaccine-protection-timeline/2021/08/25/id/1033670/
A very kind mention. I’m prepared to extend charity, absolutely. The thing that is stressing me out is my family “living behind enemy lines” in CA. Some have gotten out. Some are “thinking about it”, as if they don’t believe CA will actually do what NY is attempting to do – not letting people buy food without a vaccine passport. Although, I’ve been hammering them for years to “stock up” and “be prepared” to hunker down.
I can’t even believe we are having this conversation! I had an unexpected email conversation with someone I hardly know and that person mentioned the idea that we, meaning both of us, should be prepared to shelter others if things get bad enough. I think we connected because while we are opposite personalities, we both think very hard times are coming.
It feels surreal. Another thing I’m doing… each time I make a purchase I’m asking myself “Is this something that is going to last? Is this a tangible investment – something that can be used for a long time?”. Forget the luxuries and entertainment.

VERY IMPORTANT PAPER OUT OF JAPAN SUGGESTS DELTA IS MUTATING IN A WAY THAT MAY SOON PRODUCE ADE TO THE PFIZER VACCINE THROUGH NTD MUTATIONS AND BOOSTERS MAY MAKE THE PROBLEM WORSE
Pass this paper along to people you know who are considering getting a booster shot.
If they want to clamp down like Australia, they need to take the guns first
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/puzzle-pieces-all-laid-out-how-atf-has-plan-classify-semi-automatic-rifles-machine-guns
All our guns were lost in a boating accident.
1976 I was in my last year of my army hitch, we were ordered to take the swine flu vac. It was election year and they hurriedly made a vaccine with dubious methods. The companies were given immunity from law suits. The results were 1 person died from swine flu many more died and were crippled from GBS caused by the vaccine. It increased the risk of GBS when getting vaccines. I never got a vaccine for the flu and have never had it. 43 years later had to have the rabies shots from a bat bite I spent 3 weeks in hospital with gbs that was my first vaccination in 43 years. This vaccine started the anti vac campaign. The 76 swine flu vaccine is well documented. If you like Tom Clancy read the book Rainbow Six it’s 20 years old but it’s like a blue print to what’s happening now.
The story about killing rescue dogs in Australia underscores the evil. Give absolute power to some people, and you will see them commit acts of sadistic cruelty. Just like in Nazi Germany.
Wow! You really hit a home run with this post, Claire! That’s not to say that your other posts aren’t great too, but this one really stands out. And there’s some absolutely great comments, too. Thank you.
Granny – Regarding “The Great Reset” link you posted – God.Help.Us.
Holy smoke, Claire. I’m gonna STOP reading your damned blog at night! How the hell can you expect to not pace the floor at night after reading this stuff! The problem is ITS TRUE! Nonetheless, you, Granny, Noah, Comrade X and others, thanks for the info. Better to know than to not know. Man, this makes the stuff you talked about in “Don’t Shoot the Bastards (Yet)” look like nothin’.
The FDA did NOT grant full approval to the Pfizer shots:

Big news;
New study on natural immunity being superior to vaccinations
https://unherd.com/thepost/bombshell-study-finds-natural-immunity-superior-to-vaccination/
Mark — I’ve been seeing that claim today, including links to the FDA letters. If it’s true (which it sure seems to be), then we are being lied to on a scale that makes all the other lies told for the last 18 months seem … well, not innocent. No. But slightly less black than this newest one.
So those gates of hell my friend talked about opened solely so people could be more easily bamboozled out of their jobs, out of unemployment benefits, potentially out of travel and into hunger for refusing to submit to medical experimentation. All because they’d been falsely told the jab was “fully approved”?
Good lord. Will these totalitarians stop at nothing?
No, of course they won’t. Dumb question.

An example of a lie by a local health commissioner, and the good news is he was fired for it:
https://www.news-herald.com/2021/08/27/geauga-public-health-board-fires-health-commissioner-following-social-media-post/
The Geauga Public Health Board unanimously voted to fire county health commissioner Tom Quade Aug. 25 following comments made on his personal Facebook page.
In a since-deleted post Quade wrote: “Here’s an incentive idea for encouraging vaccination. If you get vaccinated and get COVID, you pay nothing for your treatment medical costs. If you’re not vaccinated (or don’t have medical contraindication for getting vaccinated) your insurance pays NOTHING for your medical treatment. It’s a natural consequence of your decisions.”
In other news, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is coming out with a new book, “The Real Anthony Fauci.” I think it will be available in November. I wonder if the local library will carry it. The have on prominent display a book for children about the man I call Dr. Fraudi, entitled :Dr. Fauci: How a Boy from Brooklyn Became America’s Doctor.” I bet that one doesn’t discuss his funding of gain of function research in Wuhan, which caused this whole mess.
From now on when a mask comes up at a restaurant or retail ask where the biomedical hazard waste bin is.
Your post hit home. My job may be on the line. I’m waiting to find out if the company lawyer will mandate vaccines. Not hopeful. He’s the guy who, last fall, enforced a mask requirement on the entire company and included the statement “if everyone would just wear a mask this thing would be over in two weeks.” He takes his guidance from the public announcement by the CDC. I only had a few more years to work, then I’d be able to have a very modest retirement. That plan is looking improbable right now.
I work with lots of vaxxed people. They make it clear they are not only superior to me…they are also angry with me and my kind. The anger is what surprises me. No, not just anger…venom. Hatred. Condemnation. Ick. These are people I have spent ten years traveling, eating, drinking, and partying with…they now snipe and belittle. I know they are scared. Scared people are dangerous people.
We have a small local group of like-thinkers, and on a recent trip to Vegas I met several other people who are like us. I’ve been recording names and contacts. I haven’t figured out yet how we can create an alternate/parallel society. Need more allies.
Like your other commentators, I believe this thing could become physically dangerous to us, the Un-vaxxed. My wife and I have Plan B: Flee. But that is only if the means of transportation (open highways, fuel, and places to park a travel trailer) are still available. That’s not guaranteed. Plan C is stay put and keep our heads down. Plan D…I don’t want to think about what violence could erupt, how I would respond, and what my prospects of surviving against the Machine would be if the shooting starts.
Internal passports. Financial control. Medical tyranny. 360 degree surveillance. I’m not seeing a way out…yet.
I haven’t been visiting here as much as I should.
Mr. Johnson – “Scared people are dangerous people.” You got THAT right! And might I add, they make for damned dangerous times, i.e. NOW.
This Has Gotta Stop….
We’ve been building our homestead with an eye on dropping out of society as much as possible…this just moved it up by a bunch of years.
My daughter (20) has been forced out of university (prolly for the best) because where we are no shot equals no access to education, but she now runs a budding muscovy duck meat program.
My husband is facing losing his job of 26 years (and likely his pension) if he doesn’t get the shot…even though his doctor has said based on his family history that it would be a Very Bad Idea for him to get it…his work doesn’t care. Get it or leave.
Meanwhile here in Canada we’ve just had an election called when not that long ago all the political rats voted to not call one so long as the pandemic was still happening.
I find it interesting that we’re heading into a “4th wave” but it’s not a problem to have an early (by just about 2 years) election.
Of course the foolish man-child that “runs” this country cares only for himself and his bloated ego, so I guess it’s no surprise.
🤷
I know I have been silent for a long time. As some of you know I no longer live in the USSA. Where I live some slime in the congress attempted to pass a law which would require proof of vaccine to shop, eat in restaurants, work, etc. It was soundly rejected. Unfortunately not on freedom criteria but because the majority of the population would not be vaccinated until late 2022 at the rate the public health service was going. Note that this is not the entire population, just the majority. No one is even guessing when the entire population will get their shots. Sometimes you gota love incompetence.
That same health service called me yesterday to inform me that a booster shot was available because I am “high risk” (my age). I said “Thank you” and assured them I would show up. The fact that I never showed up for the first and second shots is not in their records. I do use their “services” because after all, I pay for them. Two weeks ago I went in for my annual check up and was asked if I had been vaccinated. I replied “Yes”. That was that.
Many years ago another expat, Sandy, posted some stuff here. I wonder how he is doing in his location.
I have (or had) a close friend in Australia. His wife and my late wife were best friends. When he found out that I hadn’t been injected and that my daughters and my fiancee hadn’t either he freaked. Literally started cursing me on the call. BTW, this was me calling him to wish him a happy birthday. So I have lost someone I thought was a friend. My nephew also lives down under. In Melbourne no less. Which is absolutely full police state. He has a “keep your head down” approach. The question of vaxed or not has not come up in our conversations. I know his parents are. I know that he thinks very differently from his parents on many topics.
I still have family in the USSA. They have all been vaxed. They are all very, shall we say, “blue”. They know my status but the vague noises I have made (which I probably should have done with my Australian ex-friend) imply that the public health service has not gotten to me yet. They feel sorry for me.
But over the last two years I have been making my own wine (have to satisfy our principle vice) from fruits that grow on my property, growing even more vegetables and raising more animals for food. We are on our 3rd pig, plus have an amazing (thanks to my fiancee) supply of edible insects. Our medicinal herbs supply most of our pharmacological needs. The 3D printer we bought (Creality Ender 3) plus a ton of PLA and ABS plastic has allowed us to make a bunch of stuff for ourselves. Of course we would never make anything like an FGC-9. That would be illegal and we are law abiding.
What the maniacs in power here will do I cannot say and it is certain that anything the US government does will have its effect on us but we are moving more and more towards self sufficiency. More and more towards trading with our neighbors. Towards the informal networks that humanity developed and used throughout most of its existence.
With a bit of luck we will be OK.
I hope the rest of you are as well.
Jorge, it is good to hear from you again.
Very well and prepared here too.
