About the blog

The Living Freedom blog began in January 2010 on the website of Backwoods Home magazine. In August 2016, it came here to its own dedicated site. The theme of Living Freedom is just that: finding freedom within ourselves and within this increasingly unfree world. Of course, the blog also contains some general news, rants, and cute pet pictures. No blog would be complete without those.

About Claire Wolfe

Claire hit the hemi-demi-semi-quasi-pseudo big time in late 1996 with her book 101 Things to Do ‘Til the Revolution. That was followed by a number of other books including the young adult novel Rebelfire: Out of the Gray Zone (co-authored with the late Aaron Zelman) and the successor to 101 Things, The Freedom Outlaws Handbook.

Claire is a free-market anarchist hermit who lives in the rural Pacific NorthWET with the enduring spirits of dogs past, especially Jasmine, Robbie, and Ava. Not to mention one seriously outnumbered cat. When not writing, walking in the woods, or being an idle layabout, she curses and tears her hair out over a house she bought for $10,000 and will spend the rest of her life fixing up (with more than a little help from her friends).

We crossed paths quite some time ago at a get together out of Centralia. Jackie and I had met a few years earlier and she suggested that I come for the “get togethers” out at Bob’s place (believe that was his name). Was nice to chat with you then and please continue keeping us informed. I have been using your Amazon account. Do not like having to face the maddening crowd of morons at the local shopping malls. Glad any of my purchases help you.
    Mel

Terry — Damn good link. I’d say you’ve posted it in just the right place for now. I’ll happily make an entire post out of, with hat tip to you.

You are a true spirit, though I’m not likely to follow in future because I’m not keen on promoting guns for gun’s sake. But I liked Silver’s 5/5 mask comment, which is how I found you. I’m tired of media demonizing ‘non-mask-wearers’ as if they are a cursed race of mass-murderers. Sound like a witch hunt to anybody?

GIRL!!! I just read and then re-read your ebook Rats (https://rats-nosnitch.com/). I have no idea how the hell I found it. I was actually searching for ways to cure a skin infection on my daughter’s French Bulldog, and somehow the above-named link turned up!! For reasons I don’t want to explain online (see? I’m already following advice from your book!), I plan to share the information with various people I know but I will do so in person, not in writing or over the phone. The book knocked my socks off. Thank you for taking the time to write it.

Thank you, C. Flaherty. The book was really a group effort by some very sharp and experienced people. I just pulled all the information together and made it presentable. I’m glad it’s out there and being put to good use. (Good luck with your daughter’s pup!)

We need an updated quote Claire.

America is at that awkward stage; it’s too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards.
