And why are U.S. taxpayers funding a project that includes religious symbols at every doorway? The <a href=\"http:\/\/atschool.eduweb.co.uk\/sirrobhitch.suffolk\/synagogue\/mezzuzah.htm\" target=\"_blank\">mezzuzah<\/a> is a charming tradition, but the fedgov funds enough superstitions without secretly forcing us to pay for another one.\n<li>Memo to robbers: If you want that girly-girl c-store clerk to take you seriously <a href=\"http:\/\/gunssavelives.net\/self-defense\/female-store-clerk-gets-in-gun-fight-with-3-armed-robbers-and-wins\/\" target=\"_blank\">don&#8217;t charge in firing your guns into the air<\/a>.\n<li>James Bond, Dirty Harry Callahan and what gun is <a href=\"http:\/\/gunnuts.net\/2012\/11\/29\/good-enough\/\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;good enough.&#8221;<\/a> Can&#8217;t say I agree with the recommendation, not even one little bit. But the thinking is interesting. (H\/T JG)\n<li>That Senate bill that got the privacy stripped out of it and the warrantless searches put back in? <a href=\"http:\/\/news.cnet.com\/8301-13578_3-57556201-38\/senate-panel-to-cops-you-need-search-warrants-for-e-mail\/\" target=\"_blank\">The privacy&#8217;s been restored.<\/a> This bill still has a long way to go before it becomes law, though.\n<li>Bradley Manning <a href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/blogs\/thetwo-way\/2012\/11\/29\/166191570\/wikileaks-suspect-bradley-manning-i-thought-i-was-going-to-die-in-that-cage\" target=\"_blank\">on his many months of torment<\/a>. I knew a political prisoner who was put through similar hells, though for a blessedly shorter time. He vehemently insisted that the &#8220;suicide watch&#8221; they subjected him to was solely an excuse to punish and dehumanize him. And Manning offended even nastier people.\n<li>Annnnnd &#8230; one <i>more<\/i> career drug warrior <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sunherald.com\/2012\/11\/27\/4324550\/ex-metro-narcotics-head-accused.html\" target=\"_blank\">gets busted for guess what?<\/a>\n<li>An oldie but &#8230; well, I hate to call it a goodie. The <a href=\"http:\/\/rats-nosnitch.com\" target=\"_blank\">anti-snitch book<\/a> quoted a 1995 James Bovard <i>Playboy<\/i> article on entrapment. Here&#8217;s the <a href=\"http:\/\/jimbovard.com\/Bovard_Playboy_1995_Government_Informants_Create_Crime.htm\" target=\"_blank\">whole piece<\/a>, courtesy of Jim.
