Not necessarily smart, but okay. You can tell the nice officer that between taser zaps. (H\/T to JW for the good news.)\n<li>And speaking of police: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eff.org\/deeplinks\/2012\/12\/rapid-dna-analysis\" target=\"_blank\">Rapid DNA<\/a>: a new tool coming soon to a thug near you. (H\/T to J for the <i>bad<\/i> news.)\n<li>Oh, c&#8217;mon. Did somebody in Congress <a href=\"http:\/\/freedomfeens.com\/blog\/2013\/01\/07\/federal-government-criticizes-the-freedom-feens\/\" target=\"_blank\">really tell off Freedom Feens<\/a>? Nawwwww. Really? It&#8217;s true Congressional staffers have committed some pro-government vandalizing at Wikipedia, so who knows?\n<li>Well, that&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/this-guy-got-his-stolen-iphone-back-by-pretending-to-be-a-hot-girl-on-dating-site-2013-1\" target=\"_blank\">one way to get your stolen cellphone back<\/a>.\n<li>A French court has <a href=\"http:\/\/www.latimes.com\/news\/world\/worldnow\/la-fg-wn-french-court-tax-rich-20121229,0,7376806.story\" target=\"_blank\">just thrown out Hollande&#8217;s tax on the rich<\/a>. Maybe Gerard Depardieu won&#8217;t <a href=\"http:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/celebritynews\/9786779\/Gerard-Depardieu-says-he-remains-French-despite-new-Russian-passport.html\" target=\"_blank\">have to become a Russian<\/a> after all. Hm. But a 13 percent tax rate &#8230;\n<li>I&#8217;m late getting to this one, but you should really read MamaLiberty&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thepriceofliberty.org\/?p=900\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;There&#8217;s an F.B.I. in My Soup&#8221;<\/a>.\n<li>Late on this one, too. (Sigh; last week was busy.) But a big thank you to Jim Bovard for <a href=\"http:\/\/jimbovard.com\/blog\/2013\/01\/02\/claire-wolfes-hot-rats\/\" target=\"_blank\">giving such a big plug to <i>Rats!<\/i><\/a>, the anti-snitch book &#8212; despite his writerly horror about giving work away for free. I never use that. Their latest upgrade (sic) has expanded that lovely feature to the editing function I <i>do<\/i> use &#8212; which regularly ruins posts that I schedule for later appearance, like this one, which is going live in the middle of the night. <\/p>\n<p>Thank you SO much, Dear People of WordPress, for deciding that I really don&#8217;t need to post cute cat videos after all.<\/p>\n<p>The rest of you, don&#8217;t worry. I&#8217;ve learned to save the video codes. Once a blog has gone live, WordPress does kindly allow me to put it back in. So you won&#8217;t suffer a shortage of adorable kitties and cute puppies for long.
