(H\/T H)\n<li>New: <a href=\"http:\/\/prism-break.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Prism-Break.org<\/a>. Products to use instead of the Usual Suspects.*\n<li>One of those is <a href=\"https:\/\/startpage.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">StartPage<\/a>, of course. And while you&#8217;re in the position of having to take their word for it, <a href=\"https:\/\/startpage.com\/eng\/prism-program-exposed.html\" target=\"_blank\">this is a pretty good statement of principle.<\/a>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/why-you-should-skip-college-altogether-2013-6\" target=\"_blank\">Why skipping college could be a good idea<\/a>. And <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uncollege.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">UnCollege.org<\/a>.\n<li>Jim Bovard (that is, <i>Mr.<\/i> Bovard, according to the WSJ bio; have I been too informal all these years?) <a href=\"http:\/\/online.wsj.com\/article\/SB10001424127887324063304578525871827319936.html\" target=\"_blank\">on the virtues of AmeriCorps.<\/a>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/dollarvigilante.com\/blog\/2013\/6\/11\/the-soul-rape-of-bradley-manning.html\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;The Soul-Rape of Bradley Manning.&#8221;<\/a> This superb piece by Wendy McElroy has already and deservedly gotten a lot of electron time. I&#8217;ve been meaning to base a think piece of my own on it, but since I haven&#8217;t quite gotten there, I thought I&#8217;d just add one more link to the masses it&#8217;s already received.\n<li>I&#8217;ve been kind of sorry that the local Big City has only a Home Depot, not a Lowes. I like &#8217;em both, but always liked Lowes a little better. But damn, the co-founder of Home Depot <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lewrockwell.com\/blog\/lewrw\/archives\/139434.html\" target=\"_blank\">has him some style and some guts<\/a>.\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8212;&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>Some are highly tested and reliable; others less well vetted.
