{"id":14884,"date":"2013-08-30T11:16:17","date_gmt":"2013-08-30T18:16:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.backwoodshome.com\/blogs\/ClaireWolfe\/?p=14884"},"modified":"2013-08-30T11:16:17","modified_gmt":"2013-08-30T18:16:17","slug":"you-gut-guts-erin-palette","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.clairewolfe.com\/blog\/2013\/08\/30\/you-gut-guts-erin-palette\/","title":{"rendered":"You got guts, Erin Palette"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I confess that even though she and I are both considered <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gunbloggers.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Gunbloggers<\/a> (she more than I, <a href=\"http:\/\/lurkingrhythmically.blogspot.com\/p\/i-like-guns.html\" target=\"_blank\">though she disputes her gunblogger status<\/a>), Erin Palette really wasn&#8217;t on my radar.<\/p>\n<p>Not until yesterday when I noticed this graphic popping up across the gunblogosphere:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.backwoodshome.com\/blogs\/ClaireWolfe\/2013\/08\/30\/you-gut-guts-erin-palette\/istandwitherinpalettesidebar\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-14885\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.backwoodshome.com\/blogs\/ClaireWolfe\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IstandwithErinPalettesidebar.jpg\" alt=\"IstandwithErinPalettesidebar\" width=\"200\" height=\"424\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14885\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.clairewolfe.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IstandwithErinPalettesidebar.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.clairewolfe.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/08\/IstandwithErinPalettesidebar-142x300.jpg 142w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 200px) 100vw, 200px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Blogs like <a href=\"http:\/\/fivetensfourtens.blogspot.com\/2013\/08\/erins-reveal.html\" target=\"_blank\">this one<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.agirlandhergun.org\/2013\/08\/29\/a-friend\/\" target=\"_blank\">this one<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wallsofthecity.net\/2013\/08\/freedom-is-about-more-than-just-firearms.html\" target=\"_blank\">this one<\/a> told part of the tale.<\/p>\n<p>But everybody stepped aside to let <a href=\"http:\/\/lurkingrhythmically.blogspot.com\/2013\/08\/duality.html\" target=\"_blank\">Erin Palette reveal<\/a> what she has gathered the great courage to say about herself.<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t add anything to what&#8217;s already been written. Erin Palette, you got guts. But Erin&#8217;s story is also a great testimony to one of the best (and least mentioned) things about the Internet &#8212; the ability to relate to others by their heart and soul, not by their age, color, location, sex, gender, or other non-essentials. Pretty damn good testimony for &#8220;gun nuts,&#8221; too. Gun nuts.
