I took this photo of Sweetie, her brother Nigel, and Mike (one of her humans) in July when they were passing through my area at the start of a vacation. In this summer&#8217;s chaos, I neglected to post it.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not a great pic of Sweetie. She was pretty wired by the presence of several other dogs she wanted to get a piece of. <\/p>\n<p>But I can report that &#8212; despite the fact that she alternates between being called Sweetie and Devil Dog &#8212; the poor deaf\/heartworm positive\/unpredictable\/rejected heeler that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.backwoodshome.com\/blogs\/ClaireWolfe\/2012\/09\/21\/sweetie-georgia-brown-update\/\" target=\"_blank\">you guys helped so generously<\/a> last fall has herself a very, very happy home for life.<\/p>\n<p>Mike and family have taken her camping a couple of times this summer. While there&#8217;s always a rough adjustment period around other vacationing dogs, big brother Nigel helps put things right and the human family is continuing to work on some of Sweetie&#8217;s other issues. <\/p>\n<p>Sez Mike, &#8220;She still has a bit of reputation to mend but we&#8217;re working on that.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well, not quite the latest.
