Okay, here’s a bonus set of Amazon holiday links, just because I find this weirdly funny.<\/p>\n
Since going (um … mostly) primal, I’ve developed a jones for maple-cured bacon. This being a pricey item at the local grocer, I checked to see what Amazon had.<\/p>\n
I laughed to discover how many maple-bacon products there are. Very few of them involving any actual bacon.<\/p>\n
Then during my seashore excursion last week, I delved into bins of salt-water taffy (you see what I mean about “mostly” primal). Amidst the traditional flavors, there it was: maple-bacon taffy<\/a>. Curious, but with an inward eeeeeew, I added a couple pieces to my basket.<\/p>\n Oh. Man. It was good.<\/p>\n So in the maple-bacon spirit of the holidays, and in the cause of stocking stuffing, I present:<\/p>\n 1. Man Bait maple-bacon flavored lollipops<\/a><\/p>\n 2. Wild Bill’s Sweet Maple-Glazed Bacon Jerky<\/a><\/p>\n 3. Maple-bacon dog treats (no wheat)<\/a><\/p>\n 4. Maple-bacon flavored coffee<\/a> (I still say eeeew on that one, but then, who knows?) (And here’s some a tad less expensive<\/a>)<\/p>\n 5. The “erotic” and dare I say tongue-in-cheek cookbook Fifty Shades of Bacon<\/a> (which of course includes maple in there somewhere)<\/p>\n 6. “With Visions of Maple Cured Bacon Dancing in Their Heads” holiday cards<\/a><\/p>\n 7. You can even get bacon scented room-freshener spray<\/a>, but since it’s mere<\/i> bacon and not maple-bacon, I’m not going to include it in this list.<\/p>\n
