(No, I don&#8217;t think government should be involved, but otherwise, this is good stuff.)\n<li>If you want to live innovatively off-grid, maybe it&#8217;s best <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wnd.com\/2013\/12\/widow-faces-eviction-for-living-off-the-grid\/\" target=\"_blank\">not to do it in a city<\/a>. Or at least not to talk about it if you do. (H\/T H.)\n<li>That Texas &#8220;affluenza&#8221; brat who killed four people and turned one of his friends into a vegetable may not have to pay any consequences for his actions. <a href=\"http:\/\/gawker.com\/drunk-driving-teen-with-affluenza-may-not-be-affluent-1485105580\" target=\"_blank\">But his parents might.<\/a>\n<li>The courts might never stop the NSA&#8217;s outrages (despite <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/commentisfree\/2013\/dec\/17\/nsa-surveliiance-ruling-totalitarian-attack-larry-klayman\" target=\"_blank\">hopeful rulings to the contrary<\/a>). Congress? They never, ever, ever will. But the collaborating companies like Google, Yahoo, IBM, Verizon, etc. might eventually have to stop the NSA or die an economic death. Now shareholders are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theregister.co.uk\/2013\/12\/13\/ibm_lawsuit_nsa_china\/\" target=\"_blank\">upping the pressure<\/a>.\n<li>The author of <i>The Anarchist Cookbook<\/i>, having made all the money off it that he personally needs, <a href=\"http:\/\/usnews.nbcnews.com\/_news\/2013\/12\/17\/21938739-after-latest-shooting-murder-manual-author-calls-for-book-to-be-taken-immediately-out-of-print\" target=\"_blank\">now wants the book banned<\/a>. I doubt it&#8217;s going to happen, but you might want to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0974458902\/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_tl?ie=UTF8&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325&#038;creativeASIN=0974458902&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;tag=livifree07-20\" target=\"_blank\">get your copy, just in case<\/a>. You do know, though, that you&#8217;re more likely to hurt <i>yourself<\/i> with the recipes in that book than you are to hurt anybody else.
