You already know that. Good article, though.\n<li>The governments of Samoa and Belize <a href=\"http:\/\/watchdogblog.dallasnews.com\/2014\/02\/investigative-journalism-under-threat-in-the-u-s-so-says-new-report.html\/\" target=\"_blank\">are more fair to investigative journalists<\/a> than the U.S. government is. No big surprise, really.\n<li>Hey, God! That ain&#8217;t <a href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/blogs\/thetwo-way\/2014\/02\/13\/276378380\/watch-camera-captures-corvettes-being-sucked-into-sinkhole\" target=\"_blank\">no way to treat those beautiful Corvettes!<\/a>\n<li>Memory is such a funny old thing. Yesterday when former Nawlins mayor Ray Nagin <a href=\"http:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/2014\/02\/12\/jury-reaches-verdict-in-ex-new-orleans-mayor-nagin-bribery-case\/\" target=\"_blank\">got convicted on multitudes of counts of corruption<\/a>, the NPRistas tsked about Nagin&#8217;s long and tragic fall from the days he was the &#8220;face of New Orleans&#8221; during Hurricane Katrina. Do they actually remember what the &#8220;face of Katrina&#8221; looked like? A corruption conviction is positively lovely by comparison. (And it was for his &#8220;heroic&#8221; Katrina recovery work that he was convicted.) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nola.com\/opinions\/index.ssf\/2014\/02\/ray_nagin_former_new_orleans_m.html\" target=\"_blank\">Just another grubby crook<\/a>.\n<li>Now <i>here<\/i>, OTOH, is a colossal fall: <a href=\"http:\/\/elmtreeforge.blogspot.com\/2014\/02\/once-upon-time-sun-never-set-on-british.html\" target=\"_blank\">From world-spanning might to pants-pissing ignorami<\/a>.\n<li>And before you go thinking Americans are still superior to Brits in this regard: well, some are and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.njherald.com\/story\/24695997\/2014\/02\/11\/car-backfire-leads-to-brief-school-lockdown-in-hopatcong\" target=\"_blank\">some &#8230; not<\/a>.\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Charity Philanthropy can be shockingly self-serving.
