Yes, a raft of new federal controls will <i>make energy cheaper<\/i>!\n<li>Speaking of economic moronism: Under the inspiration of a Socialist city council member and waves and waves of trendy blueness, Seattle gone went and done it &#8212; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/money\/business\/2014\/06\/02\/seattle-minimum-wage-vote\/9863061\/\" target=\"_blank\">raised the city&#8217;s minimum wage<\/a> to $15\/hour. For a while they may be saved by all the ifs, ands, and butts they included.\n<li>And on the other side of governmental asininity: Court official in Virginia <a href=\"http:\/\/www.addictinginfo.org\/2014\/05\/31\/marriage-only-for-christians\/\" target=\"_blank\">refuses to perform a marriage<\/a> because the couple aren&#8217;t Christians and therefore have no right to get married.\n<li>But wait! Governments have no monopoly on idiocy. Seems that hurricanes with female names kill more people, and it may be because <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pbs.org\/newshour\/rundown\/hurricanes-female-names-seen-less-risky-says-study\/\" target=\"_blank\">people don&#8217;t think &#8220;girly&#8221; hurricanes are as dangerous<\/a>, and therefore don&#8217;t flee or take as many precautions against them. (Oh, human beings, you are so very strange!)\n<li>Oh man. I didn&#8217;t realize that the latest <a href=\"http:\/\/freedominourtime.blogspot.com\/2014\/06\/the-baby-burning-stormtroopers-of.html\" target=\"_blank\">baby-burning cops<\/a> were also the preacher-killing cops from a few years back. I just <i>love<\/i> how the sheriff dismisses all this with, &#8220;Bad things can happen. That&#8217;s just the world we live in.&#8221; A fine statement from the guy who&#8217;s <i>making<\/i> the bad things happen. Tear &#8217;em a new one, Mr. Grigg.\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/jerrythegeek.blogspot.com\/2014\/06\/things-i-learned-from-my-father-about.html\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Things I Learned from My Father.&#8221;<\/a> A moving tribute (and good gun talk) from Jerry the Geek. It deserves all the attention.
