Or at least sad, scary songs? One of my favorites &#8212; yet creepiest &#8212; of the type is the Irish lullaby <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=mGVrKoR41dc\" target=\"_blank\"><i>The Castle of Dromore<\/i><\/a>, aka <i>October Winds<\/i>. (Lyrics <a href=\"http:\/\/www.contemplator.com\/ireland\/dromore.html\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.)\n<li>How the economic hard times have been affecting &#8230; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.economist.com\/blogs\/economist-explains\/2014\/08\/economist-explains-7\" target=\"_blank\">prostitutes. Yes, prostitutes.<\/a>\n<li>Sigh. Once again someone writes <a href=\"http:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/articles\/2014\/08\/14\/the_crazy_world_of_public_schools_123654.html\" target=\"_blank\">an astute, well-researched article<\/a> about the catastrophe of government schooling &#8212; and draws exactly the same obviously stupid conclusion.\n<li>And speaking of edumakation, here&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slate.com\/articles\/life\/education\/2014\/08\/writing_clearly_in_student_papers_the_right_click_thesaurus_and_rogeting.html\" target=\"_blank\">a good laugh<\/a>. Students: Cease Rogeting Proximately!\n<li>The nationwide <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thefiscaltimes.com\/Articles\/2014\/08\/13\/Study-Finds-Americans-Plagued-Outstanding-Debt\" target=\"_blank\">pattern of household debt<\/a> is interesting.\n<li>Off-duty mountain rescue dog <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mountain.rescue.org.uk\/news\/casualty-found-by-off-duty-search-dog\" target=\"_blank\">finds and saves<\/a> injured senior.\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Blind &#8220;gun nuts.&#8221; Dare I call this an eye opener?
