You betcha. And it would give <i>such<\/i> a boost to e-commerce because everybody knows the fedgov is far <a href=\"http:\/\/www.securityfocus.com\/news\/11393\" target=\"_blank\">more trustworthy<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/stories\/2007\/04\/05\/tech\/main2652131.shtml\" target=\"_blank\">more concerned for your privacy<\/a> than Amazon.com or eBay could ever be.<\/p>\n<p>And &#8212; of course! &#8212; your government-managed online ID would be voluntary. Strictly and always voluntary. And you can believe that with all your heart. Because &#8220;We&#8217;re from the government and we&#8217;re here to help you escape your dangerously &#8216;outdated&#8217; decentralized logins.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Biggest load of codswallop I&#8217;ve read all week. <\/p>\n<p>And this has been a pretty big week for codswallop. <\/p>\n<p>Surprised to see this coming from FoxNews.com &#8212; which may sometimes be  harebrained, but is usually harebrained in a different direction than this.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Oh yes.
