(No doubt has a lot of applications beyond muscles, too.)\n<li>(Formerly) dying man says <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-2887353\/My-little-miracle-Dying-man-84-credits-stray-dog-Mahjong-curing-cancer-Christmas-doctors-said-never-make-it.html\" target=\"_blank\">adopted stray dog<\/a> &#8212; that he didn&#8217;t even want &#8212; helped cure his cancer.\n<li>It&#8217;s not really news that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/national-security\/2014\/12\/24\/religious-people-much-happier-than-others-new-study-shows\/\" target=\"_blank\">religious people are happier<\/a> than us non-religious. Question is, are they happier because of something about their religion or are they happier because they&#8217;re the sort of people who don&#8217;t poke and prod at every extraordinary claim, the sort who just accept the word of their chosen authority and get on with life?\n<li>Yes, Christmas Eve was quite a time for that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.usnews.com\/news\/articles\/2014\/12\/26\/nsa-reveals-improper-surveillance-incidents-on-christmas-eve\" target=\"_blank\">embarrassing data dump<\/a>, wasn&#8217;t it, NSA? Kevin D. Williamson <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/article\/395394\/tinker-tailor-stalker-spy-kevin-d-williamson\" target=\"_blank\">has some sharp words<\/a> about that &#8212; before winding toward some very naive and foolish words. (Williamson is frustrating. He&#8217;s one of those guys who almost, alllllmost, gets it, then turns away.)\n<li>Shocked. Simply shocked. Guess which political party is <a href=\"http:\/\/news.investors.com\/ibd-editorials\/122614-732240-party-of-the-rich-is-democrats-not-gop-republicans.htm\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;the party of the rich.&#8221;<\/a> (Yeah, you knew, didn&#8217;t you? The real question is why will millions of supposedly informed people be genuinely shocked &#8212; and in denial &#8212; about this?)\n<\/ul>\n<p>I still owe some thanks to some Santas! Right now, I gotta go walk the dogs in the rain, but I will get to that. I think I&#8217;ve already thanked the Santas themselves, in person or in email, but I had to guess on matching some of the packages up with their mystery givers. And here I really wasn&#8217;t expecting anything for Christmas this year.<\/p>\n<p>Hope Santa was great to you, as well.<\/p>\n<p>Am also reaching the end of my two-months hermitude and need to write a wrapup on that.
