Not actually ill; just too sour, achy, and generally uncomfortable to sleep. Useless today. But no doubt I&#8217;ll be brilliant (or at least brilliant-er) tomorrow. Would be hard to be <i>less<\/i> brilliant.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lucy and Ethel <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/article\/398803\/lucy-and-ethel-take-foggy-bottom-ian-tuttle\" target=\"_blank\">speak for the U.S. Department of State<\/a>\n<li>A letter <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2015\/02\/18\/opinion\/mustafa-akyol-a-letter-concerning-muslim-toleration.html\" target=\"_blank\">concerning Muslim toleration<\/a>.\n<li>Ronald Ritchie, felony murderer of two, <a href=\"http:\/\/countercurrentnews.com\/2015\/02\/911-caller-says-john-crawford-deserved-it\/\" target=\"_blank\">still thinks his primary victim<\/a> deserved what he got.\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/oscar-winners-odds-2015-2\" target=\"_blank\">Oscar odds<\/a>. Being mostly stuck with DVDs that aren&#8217;t out yet, I&#8217;ve seen very few of these films yet; probably soon. Looking forward to <i>The Imitation Game<\/i>, <i>Foxcatcher<\/i>, <i>Birdman<\/i>, and <i>Kill the Messenger<\/i> (based on the tragic truth telling of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Gary_Webb\" target=\"_blank\">Gary Webb<\/a>, who fought the fedgov and the major media and lost). Did see and loved <i>The Grand Budapest Hotel<\/i>. Everybody says <i>Boyhood<\/i> is going to win best picture, but the weird thing is that nobody ever says anything about it except, &#8220;Wow, they took 12 years to film it.&#8221; Anybody here seen it?\n<li>The Mountains of MIT and other <a href=\"http:\/\/www.buzzfeed.com\/mjs538\/please-stop-snowing#.ei8M3QYEBl\" target=\"_blank\">images from parts east<\/a>. Holy cats, people! Get with the program; it&#8217;s still 60 degrees hereabouts.
