But know what? If that very last line Stephens&#8217; speaks is what cops aim for, they&#8217;re going to face a <i>lot<\/i> worse than mere recruiting challenges in the long run. They&#8217;re gonna face <i>us<\/i>. (Both audio and transcript at the link.)\n<li>Of course, some cops merely aim for <a href=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/wireStory\/prosecutors-prison-officers-taser-case-30608287\" target=\"_blank\">good old-fashioned sadistic fun<\/a> at our expense.\n<li>While others just <a href=\"http:\/\/arstechnica.com\/tech-policy\/2015\/04\/22\/drug-dealer-cops-leaned-me-over-18th-floor-balcony-to-get-my-password\/\" target=\"_blank\">watch too many movies<\/a>. (Via <a href=\"http:\/\/borepatch.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Borepatch<\/a>) Reminds me of this <a href=\"https:\/\/xkcd.com\/538\/\" target=\"_blank\">oldie but goodie<\/a> from XKCD.\n<li>All of which is why we call them <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theatlantic.com\/entertainment\/archive\/2015\/04\/thug\/391682\/\" target=\"_blank\">thugs<\/a>, regardless of their race, creed, or national origin.\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/the-wires-david-simon-has-a-solution-to-baltimores-problems-end-the-fing-drug-war-2015-4\" target=\"_blank\">Stopping the drug war<\/a> would be a start.\n<li>But oh-by-the-way you&#8217;re now racist &#8212; or at least &#8220;culturally insensitive&#8221; &#8212; <a href=\"http:\/\/nation.foxnews.com\/2015\/04\/18\/starnes-college-says-serving-mexican-food-sci-fi-night-was-culturally-insensitive\" target=\"_blank\">if you serve Mexican food<\/a> while watching science fiction movies.
