How many &#8220;anti-violence&#8221; activists and &#8220;anti-violence&#8221; groups <a href=\"http:\/\/www.baltimoresun.com\/news\/maryland\/baltimore-city\/bs-md-ci-safe-streets-raid-20150714-story.html\" target=\"_blank\">have been busted<\/a> now for weapons violations, assaults, or homicides? A big number.\n<li>The fedgov can&#8217;t manage to charge a single mega-banker for wrecking the U.S. economy through fraud and malfeasance. But the state of New York (via the ever-present, ever-righteous Cyrus Vance, Jr.) can manage <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2015\/07\/19\/business\/a-tiny-banks-surreal-trip-through-a-fraud-prosecution.html\" target=\"_blank\">184 counts<\/a> against a tiny, family-owned bank that was apparently just trying to police itself.\n<li>Uh oh. No surprise. Sandra Bland, that young woman who &#8220;committed suicide&#8221; in police custody last week <a href=\"http:\/\/thefreethoughtproject.com\/twitter-blows-overnight-sandrabland-dies-custody\/\" target=\"_blank\">was reportedly a vocal activist<\/a> against police brutality. Well, guess they showed her, didn&#8217;t they?\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/io9.com\/the-science-behind-extroversion-and-introversion-1282059791\" target=\"_blank\">The science<\/a> behind introversion and extroversion. (Yes, this subject fascinates me; you can tell.)\n<li>Cannabis <a href=\"http:\/\/www.business-standard.com\/article\/pti-stories\/cannabis-may-help-treat-bone-fractures-study-115071700646_1.html\" target=\"_blank\">may help treat bone fractures<\/a>. Darn! Why didn&#8217;t somebody tell me that two months ago?\n<li>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/the-house-that-saved-their-marriage-1437054227\" target=\"_blank\">house that saved their marriage<\/a>. Most of us don&#8217;t have the resources, but I&#8217;ve thought this sort of living arrangement would be great ever since, as a teenager, I read about writer Mary Wollstonecraft, who (clear back in the 18th century) had a similar living arrangement with philosopher William Godwin.\n<li>The <a href=\"http:\/\/time.com\/3961931\/science-dinosaur-velociraptor-feather\/\" target=\"_blank\">velociraptor poodle<\/a>?\n<li>Joel already blogged this one, but it&#8217;s too good to pass up. <a href=\"http:\/\/theconservativetreehouse.com\/2015\/07\/17\/whoopsie-this-is-what-happens-when-you-try-to-rob-a-convenience-store-with-a-marine-standing-behind-you\/\" target=\"_blank\">This wannabe robber<\/a> survived, but if there&#8217;s a non-fatal runner-up category for the Darwin Awards, he&#8217;s a shoo-in.
