In this week’s installment of my ongoing plot to lure you into using my Amazon links<\/a> for your holiday shopping, I’m focusing on the comforts of home.<\/p>\n

Specifically, the warm<\/i> comforts. It’s only mid-November and I don’t know about you but I’m already sick of winter. As I sit here typing this my fingers and toes are cold and it’s been raining so long I wouldn’t be surprised to see an ark floating by.<\/p>\n

So yes, I’m thinking some warm stuff would be welcome under anybody’s Christmas tree this year.<\/p>\n

For instance …<\/p>\n

How about some delicious flannel sheets<\/strong><\/a>? One of you lovely readers bought me a set a couple of years ago and it’s so nice to slide into their comfort instead of shivering through those first icy seconds with standard cotton sheets.<\/p>\n

Or how about a cozy comforter<\/strong><\/a> to go over them?<\/p>\n

Another personal favorite for my dogs and me is our mattress warmer<\/strong><\/a>. Yes, we spoil ourselves and you can spoil somebody, too. Maybe even yourself.<\/p>\n

But of course you can’t just lounge around in bed all the time. Sometimes you have to get up and go to the range. For that, you (or your shooting friends) need fingerless gloves<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Or wool socks<\/strong><\/a>. They’re the sort of item that always feels a little pricy when we go to buy them for ourselves, but high-quality wool socks still make a reasonably priced gift.<\/p>\n

Warming doesn’t have to come from outside, though. How ’bout some fancy Irish oatmeal<\/strong><\/a> to keep you and your loved ones warm within?<\/p>\n

Or gourmet coffee<\/strong><\/a>? Or gourmet bacon<\/strong><\/a> (or at least something deliciously bacon flavored)?<\/p>\n

A portable heater<\/strong><\/a> goes well this time of year, and one with an alternative<\/a> heat source<\/a>, even better.<\/p>\n

Then there are alway DVDs and Blu-Ray movies made for some cozy snuggling. Speaking of warm things, Warm Bodies<\/i><\/strong><\/a> is, believe it or not, a perfectly delightful zombie chick-flick comedy to share with a special someone.<\/p>\n
