(I do rather wonder what those TSA lines snaking up and down escalators look like. Or worse, feel like to stand in, especially if you&#8217;re stuck at the top or bottom where the stairs disappear. But not enough to want to go to an airport to see for myself.)\n<li>Speaking of gummint &#8220;protection,&#8221; be glad you didn&#8217;t run into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/local\/public-safety\/suspect-lost-eyeglasses-and-was-unable-to-flee-after-shooting-prosecutors-say\/2016\/05\/09\/1f0f0092-160f-11e6-aa55-670cabef46e0_story.html\" target=\"_blank\">this employee<\/a> of the Federal Protective Service.\n<li>Whoo. <a href=\"http:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/caught-camera-woman-allegedly-held-gunpoint-successfully-fights\/story?id=39084756\" target=\"_blank\">gutsy woman<\/a>!\n<li>Militias going mainstream? So <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2016\/may\/10\/patriot-movement-oregon-militias-donald-trump-election-2016\" target=\"_blank\">sez <i>The Guardian<\/i><\/a> with a surprising minimum of tsking about it.\n<li>But not to worry. Plenty of tsking is still to be had in government schools. This time over a rather <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oathkeepers.org\/lockdown-over-paper-gun-illustrates-zero-tolerance-insanity\/#comment-78923\" target=\"_blank\">creative paper gun<\/a>.\n<li>We are shocked. Simply shocked. Facing minimum-wage hikes, Wendys is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.investors.com\/politics\/policy\/wendys-serves-up-kiosks-as-wages-rise-hits-fast-food-group\/\" target=\"_blank\">adding self-serve kiosks<\/a>, with McDonalds not far behind. Yeah, kids; that minimum-wage that nobody thinks you&#8217;re worth is a real benefit, isn&#8217;t it?\n<li>What? You mean Google Streetview spycars <a href=\"http:\/\/motherboard.vice.com\/read\/philly-police-admit-they-disguised-a-spy-truck-as-a-google-streetview-car\" target=\"_blank\">aren&#8217;t always tools of the gummint<\/a>?\n<li>I&#8217;m sure you&#8217;ll be <a href=\"http:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/national-security\/279233-state-dept-claims-to-have-no-emails-from-clinton-it-aide\" target=\"_blank\">shocked at this news<\/a> about Hillary Clinton&#8217;s emails, too.\n<li>But howzabout <a href=\"http:\/\/www.frontpagemag.com\/fpm\/262831\/clinton-e-mail-trove-likely-russian-hands-joseph-klein\" target=\"_blank\"><i>this<\/i> news<\/a> on those Hillary emails? Seems the Kremlin has a gigantic trove of them, grabbed off those insecure servers &#8230;\n<li>After constantly squeaking through the courts, Obamacare has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/judge-strikes-down-obama-health-law-insurance-subsidy-in-victory-for-house-gop\/2016\/05\/12\/67a8af78-1863-11e6-9e16-2e5a123aac62_story.html\" target=\"_blank\">received the hoped-for blow<\/a> &#8230; from a judge who immediately suspended her own ruling pending an inevitable administration review. Sigh.\n<li>Kewl. Ten life hacks <a href=\"http:\/\/www.instructables.com\/id\/10-Life-Hacks-With-Carabiners\/\" target=\"_blank\">using carabiners<\/a>. (And evertbody&#8217;s got carabiners around, right?
