Not to mention the increasing number of people being forced onto <a href=\"https:\/\/borepatch.blogspot.com\/2016\/08\/just-how-badly-does-windows-10-spy-on.html\" target=\"_blank\">Microsoft&#8217;s anti-social social network<\/a>.\n<li>In Louisiana, nimble, willing private help for flood victims <a href=\"https:\/\/fee.org\/articles\/in-louisiana-private-disaster-relief-outperforms-the-government\/\" target=\"_blank\">went far beyond the Cajun Navy<\/a>. (Interesting use of technology, too. Could make me rethink the evils of F*c*b**k. And this is a case where phone-based geolocation may have saved lives.)\n<li>Is addiction a disease or more of a learned behavior? Differing experts <a href=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/viewpoints-is-addiction-a-disease-63113\" target=\"_blank\">hold a dialog<\/a>.\n<li>Is <a href=\"https:\/\/newrepublic.com\/article\/136172\/big-marijuana-inevitable\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Big Marijuana&#8221;<\/a> inevitable? That&#8217;s it. Any thoughts about making a protest v*te for Gary Johnson are out the window. LP VP wannabe Weld already proved himself an anti-gun eejit. Now Johnson himself is working hard to demonstrate that he&#8217;s a <a href=\"http:\/\/beta.deseretnews.com\/article\/865660664\/Gary-Johnson-wants-Mitt-Romney-and-Michael-Leavitt-in-administration.html\" target=\"_blank\">compromising Republican wannabe<\/a> and a <a href=\"http:\/\/elmtreeforge.blogspot.com\/2016\/08\/and-just-to-make-election-season-more.html\" target=\"_blank\">pandering, tax-loving fool<\/a> (but I repeat myself).\n<li>A story space buffs, black-history buffs, math geeks, and women&#8217;s-history buffs can all appreciate: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/katherine-johnson-hidden-figures-nasa-human-computers-2016-8\/#and-she-is-still-an-enthusiastic-supporter-of-the-space-program-im-very-proud-of-what-theyre-doing-and-how-theyre-doing-it-and-why-she-said-people-ask-what-good-does-it-do-us-to-go-to-space-well-what-good-does-it-do-you-to-stay-home-29\" target=\"_blank\">Katherine Johnson<\/a>, one of many women who served as &#8220;human computers&#8221; in the early days of NASA. <em>(Oh please don&#8217;t let the movie be too damned heartwarming and inspirational. Please, please, please let it have some realism and grit and refrain from the standard lifeless h-word and i-word cliches.)<\/em> Ahem. Well.
