Here&#8217;s a short version of what Shel was getting at: <a href=\"http:\/\/psychopathsandlove.com\/face-the-truth-what-can-you-tell-just-by-looking-at-someone\/\" target=\"blank\">how we can tell criminals from non-criminals<\/a> with only their faces to go by. And similar accuracy turns out to apply with our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.psychologytoday.com\/articles\/201211\/what-your-face-really-reveals-about-you\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;gaydar,&#8221; &#8220;mordar,&#8221; etc.<\/a> (What&#8217;s mordar, you may ask? Why, it&#8217;s our unusual ability to quickly recognize Mormoms, even when they&#8217;re not walking up to our doors two-by-two wearing suits and ID badges.)\n<li>But then, sometimes, as in this short story, <a href=\"http:\/\/vitgarzeski.com\/the-walker\/\" target=\"_blank\">identity is a trickier matter<\/a>. MJR)\n<li>In Colorado, so-called switchblade knives and gravity knives <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ammoland.com\/2017\/03\/governor-signs-colorado-switchbladegravity-knife-ban-repeal\/\" target=\"_blank\">are no longer illegal<\/a>, thanks to local activists, sensible legislators, and <a href=\"http:\/\/kniferights.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Knife Rights<\/a>. &#8216;Bout time. Anti-knife laws were born out of a 1950s moral panic and should have been done away with long ago.\n<li>The <a href=\"http:\/\/joelsgulch.com\/its-nice-to-see-that-this-might-be-ticking-along-behind-the-scenes\/\" target=\"_blank\">shoot back movement<\/a> among gays and trans people seems to be growing. Good for them. Good for Erin Palette. And good for us all.\n<li>A few takes on government health-care debacles. Rob Kenyon says, <a href=\"http:\/\/thebullelephant.com\/the-game-is-up-house-leadership\/\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;The game is up, House leadership&#8221;<\/a> (and it&#8217;s a good thing the Republicans &#8220;Obamacare Lite&#8221; bill went down in flames). Debra Saunders muses that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/articles\/2017\/03\/26\/trump_finds_freedom_lacks_loyalty_133436.html\" target=\"_blank\">Trump got the level of loyalty he merited<\/a>. But lest we forget, Matt Lewis remind us &#8212; in the story of another Matt Lewis and his wife &#8212; how <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/articles\/2017\/03\/25\/i-hated-other-matt-lewises-until-i-met-one.html\" target=\"_blank\">badly Obamacare screwed over<\/a> U.S. health insurance and health care.\n<li>How <a href=\"https:\/\/arstechnica.com\/information-technology\/2017\/03\/how-isps-can-sell-your-web-history-and-how-to-stop-them\/\" target=\"_blank\">ISPs can sell your data<\/a> and how you can protect yourself.\n<li>So. Did you turn off all your lights for Earth Hour on Saturday? Nope, I didn&#8217;t think so.
