<\/a><\/p>\nOne person responded to my bleg for a new blogging camera. But whotta response. It goes without saying that both of these cameras go beyond the little point-and-shoot I was looking for. The Nikon goes beyond any camera I ever owned at any time or ever imagined owning.<\/p>\n
When the giver offered me my choice of the two, I responded, “You choose — and surprise me.” <\/p>\n
Well … he certainly did that. When I picked up the package at the PO today I could tell by its weight there was something more than one camera in it. But this being the same guy responsible for the Trader Joe’s Everyday Seasoning, a lifetime supply of tennis balls for Ava, many pounds of dried fruit, and much more over the years, I didn’t know what to expect.<\/p>\n
Always the unexpected! <\/p>\n
No more crappy phone cam! That is, once I figure out all the ins and outs of these guys. That Nikon is probably overqualified to be a mere blog camera, but I’ll try to be worthy of it. <\/p>\n
And you’ll get a kick out of this. The giver apologized — apologized! — because the Panasonic didn’t come with a carry case. <\/p>\n
Oh. Well I guess I’ll have to reject it then. (Yeah, like never. Anyhow, I’ve got a couple of old cases that’ll fit that just fine.)<\/p>\n
