(H\/T PT)\n<li>Has anybody else noticed that that surgeon who claims, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/science\/brain-flapping\/2017\/nov\/17\/no-there-hasnt-been-a-human-head-transplant-and-may-never-be-sergio-canavero\" target=\"_blank\">probably bogusly<\/a>, that his team just completed the first successful head transplant <a href=\"http:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/science\/2017\/11\/17\/worlds-first-human-head-transplant-successfully-carried\/\" target=\"_blank\">looks exactly like a mad scientist<\/a> straight out of Hollywood?\n<li>Why people will <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/news\/2017-11-17\/why-people-will-happily-line-be-microchipped-dogs\" target=\"_blank\">happily line up to be microchipped<\/a> (like dogs, says the headline; but I don&#8217;t think dogs would be so happy to volunteer).\n<li>Laws mandating driverless vehicles (and they are surely coming soon) will be <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/corner\/453877\/highway-robbery-mandating-driverless-cars\" target=\"_blank\">highway robbery<\/a>.\n<li>A Pentagon contractor leaves 1.8 billion &#8220;scraped&#8221; social media posts (many possibly illegally obtained) <a href=\"https:\/\/arstechnica.com\/information-technology\/2017\/11\/vast-archive-from-pentagon-intel-gathering-operation-left-open-on-amazon\/\" target=\"_blank\">in the open on Amazon servers<\/a>.\n<li>David Sax (who has an agenda, so take it FWIW), says our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2017\/11\/18\/opinion\/sunday\/internet-digital-technology-return-to-analog.html\" target=\"_blank\">love affair with tech is over<\/a>. Probably an exaggeration, but with some of the news lately, it wouldn&#8217;t be a bad thing to view tech with the eye of a skeptical ex.
