I still hadn&#8217;t gotten over my irritation with the &#8220;tell me again why I&#8217;m supposed to care about this foul-mouthed camera-hogging teenage activist?&#8221; article &#8230; when it occurred to me I need a few hours break from the &#8216;Net.<\/p>\n<p>It also occurred to me there&#8217;s a good reason why even smart people might prefer to visit cute-pet pages or read about Meghan Markle&#8217;s wedding than slog through the fetid ooze that passes for &#8220;real&#8221; news these days. But before I return to contemplate whether &#8220;Yanni vs laurel&#8221; is truly <em>over<\/em> &#8230; first, a momentary retreat.<\/p>\n<p>I leave you with this thought:<\/p>\n<p><strong><strong>What can you do with $10?<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Send it to Oxfam and hope it feeds a bunch of hungry people (instead of merely helping pay for a sexual-abuse coverup);\n<li>Donate it to the Clinton Foundation and count on it buying you access to power;\n<li>Join the Amy Schumer fan club;\n<li>Spend it on postage for letters to your congressthing;\n<li>Donate it to a legal defense fund for a poor, abused Baltimore cop whose paid vacation income isn&#8217;t enough to cover the cost of defending himself against corruption charges;\n<li>Burn it for fuel after TSHTF;\n<li>Wallpaper your bathroom with it and others like it once the Federal Reserve fulfills its job of stabilizing the economy;\n<li>Share it with Michael Bloomberg, who&#8217;s probably going broke funding all those state-level anti-gun initiatives.\n<\/ul>\n<p>So many, many wonderful possibilities!<\/p>\n<p>Orrrrr, you could contribute it to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clairewolfe.com\/blog\/2018\/05\/01\/the-final-fundraiser-begins\/\" target=\"_blank\">the blog fundraiser<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.clairewolfe.com\/blog\/2018\/05\/03\/fundraiser-update-this-is-yuge\/\" target=\"_blank\">watch it double<\/a> at the end of the month.<\/p>\n<p>Yep, end of the month. That moment is fast upon us; just seven days to get the temperature to the top of the thermometer. And we are so near yet so far away.
