Garage sale-fu strikes again. Never before in my life have I seen corrugated plastic roofing at a yard sale. Less than 24 hours after I decide I need it, there it is. It’s not the UV-resistant type I’d have preferred; but then around here we get a whole lot less UV than some of you do.

I don’t have much use for the small pieces, but there are sufficient large bits to span the porch. The small ones can probably serve to surround little garden beds or somesuch. And I saved about 75%.

I also got these brand-new thresholds, three for $5.00:

The lumberyard has the brass ones for $9.99 and the aluminum for $7.99. So that was a big savings.

Alas for garage sale-fu, though; I needed a threshold this week and already (gasp!) paid full retail for a brass one two days ago.
