Arguments for tighter restrictions on firearms are, in this case, directly opposed to arguments for the unfettered exchange of information on the internet. It\u2019s hard to advocate for both here: restricting firearms and restricting free speech are one and the same.<\/p>\n<p>That at least seems to be conclusion of the government lawyers, who settled Wilson\u2019s lawsuit after years of court battles.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>By all means, read the full <em>Wired<\/em> article linked from the shorter piece I quoted. It&#8217;s politically biased, but quite good in describing the coup Wilson and his lawyers pulled and some of the implications of the surprising settlement of his lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p>This is grand in so many ways. For guns. For 3D printing in general. For DIY tech. For an abundant future. For free speech. For resistance to tyranny.
