Decisions, decisions …<\/p>\n For me, personally, and for the good people of Washington state, the biggest heartbreak was the urban-driven slaughter of gun rights in the lopsided victory of I-1639<\/a>. But at least Washingtonians were spared I-1631’s carbon tax, which was nothing but a limitlessly costly gift to special interests at the expense of the state’s poorest citizens.<\/p>\n And rural Oregon had good news: Eight of the 10 counties with Second Amendment Preservation<\/a> measures on their ballots now have a hopeful layer of protection between them and Portlandian and DC gun grabbers. (Of course, the eeeeeeeeevil militias and the even eeeeeeeeviler Oath Keepers and Threepers are to blame.)<\/p>\n Sadly, but predictably, the most radical cannabis decriminalization measure ever proposed by a U.S. state (North Dakota) failed big time<\/a>. But elsewhere, legalization continued to creep ahead.<\/p>\n And a few Senate seats swung interestingly rightward (Farewell, lying hypocrites Heitkamp and McCaskill). And the House swung predictably leftward. With any luck, we’ll have achieved happy gridlock. Or at least gridlock.<\/p>\n So. We’re done. It’s over.
