I&#8217;d like to see that applied everywhere.\n<li>You remember the Seattle-area motorcyclist stopped and threatened last year by a road-raging plain-clothes cop? He&#8217;s been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.captainsjournal.com\/2018\/12\/10\/motorcyclist-wins-65000-settlement-after-king-county-deputy-pulls-gun-on-him\/\" target=\"_blank\">awarded $65,000 taxpayer dollars<\/a>. And &#8212; oh wonder of wonders &#8212; the King County sheriff&#8217;s office will henceforth admit that point a gun at an innocent motorist is an act of violence.\n<li>Earlier this week, Harvard concluded that the infamous gender pay gap is solely driven by personal choices. Now a study conducted at Yale and Princeton finds (unsurprisingly to anybody who&#8217;s been paying attention) that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.intellectualtakeout.org\/article\/ivy-league-study-finds-liberals-patronize-minorities-conservatives-dont\" target=\"_blank\">white liberals are more likely to act patronizingly toward minorities<\/a> than white conservatives are. Oh, how these conclusions must pain those Ivy Leaguers.\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ammoland.com\/2018\/12\/desiderata-for-nra-executive-vice-president\/\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Desiderata for the NRA&#8217;s Executive Vice President.&#8221;<\/a> (Rumor has it Wayne LaPierre might step down.)\n<li>The organization formerly known as the Boy Scouts of America <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2018\/12\/12\/boy-scouts-of-america-may-declare-bankruptcy\/\" target=\"_blank\">is in deep trouble<\/a> and has hired a bankruptcy attorney.\n<li>That kitchen-sink of a farm bill Congress just passed is really terrible. Except that it &#8212; finally! &#8212; <a href=\"https:\/\/reason.com\/blog\/2018\/12\/12\/congress-just-passed-a-farm-bill-2018\" target=\"_blank\">legalizes industrial hemp<\/a>.\n<li>Before Uber&#8217;s self-driving (and appallingly safety-featureless) car killed a woman in Arizona, <a href=\"https:\/\/arstechnica.com\/tech-policy\/2018\/12\/uber-exec-warned-of-rampant-safety-problems-days-before-fatal-crash\/\" target=\"_blank\">a whistleblower tried to warn Uber<\/a> that their entire program was catastrophically unsafe. (This info has been around a few years, but I just learned about it.)\n<li>Dumb boss bans all Linux from his workplace because &#8220;Linux is a hacker OS.&#8221; IT employee <a href=\"https:\/\/cheezburger.com\/7336965\/ignorant-boss-on-a-delusional-power-trip-gets-hilariously-humbled\" target=\"_blank\">uses compliance<\/a> as a comeuppance.
