What odd timing that a storm that big actually <i>is<\/i> over the U.S. right now. But even folks in Chicago or Tulsa&#8217;s ice and snow should be grateful they&#8217;re not getting Yasi.\n<li>Per Jackie Juntti in a recent comments section: The MSM finally starts covering Project Gunwalker &#8212; feebly, of course &#8212; and Mike Vanderboegh sticks it to &#8217;em <a href=\"http:\/\/sipseystreetirregulars.blogspot.com\/2011\/02\/heer-there-be-dragones-my-letter-to.html\" target=\"_blank\">again<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/sipseystreetirregulars.blogspot.com\/2011\/02\/late-to-story-pravda-wapo-parrots.html\" target=\"_blank\">again<\/a>.\n<li>Some good dog news. A Labrador retriever can apparently be just about as accurate as a colonoscopy for <a href=\"http:\/\/gut.bmj.com\/content\/early\/2011\/01\/17\/gut.2010.218305.full\" target=\"_blank\">detecting cancer<\/a>.\n<li>And more on this week&#8217;s truly terrible dog story. Even a mainstreamer asks why the Whistler, BC, dog murderer <a href=\"http:\/\/seattletimes.nwsource.com\/html\/restlessnativeblog\/2014094348_chilling_tale_emerges_of_whistler_sled-dog_slaughter.html\" target=\"_blank\">didn&#8217;t just say, &#8220;Hell, no!&#8221;<\/a>\n<li>I dunno. But doesn&#8217;t this sort of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/yacht-champagne-2011-1\" target=\"_blank\">mad luxury<\/a> always make you think the end of the gilded age is near? I mean, seriously.
