If you&#8217;re not up for the movie, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Little-Pink-House-Defiance-Courage\/dp\/0446508624\/?tag=livifree07-20\" target=\"_blank\">book by Jeff Benedict<\/a> is even better.\n<li>Growing up around a dog can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.psychologytoday.com\/us\/blog\/canine-corner\/201901\/living-dog-may-protect-your-child-allergies\" target=\"_blank\">protect your child against allergies<\/a>. (So can playing in the dirt.)\n<li>&#8220;Control the guns, control the masses.&#8221; Watch Ds and Rs <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weaselzippers.us\/407630-house-lawmakers-prepare-rollout-of-gun-control-proposal\/\" target=\"_blank\">collaborate to inflict<\/a> universal background checks and, soon, a nationwide, red flag law to allow anyone with a grudge to send cops to seize guns.\n<li>OTOH, you can just plain turn in your really crappy homemade guns <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lawenforcementtoday.com\/man-sells-junk-guns-to-buy-back-program-buys-new-gun-with-cash\/\" target=\"_blank\">to get enough money to buy a good one<\/a> (Via <a href=\"https:\/\/borepatch.blogspot.com\/2019\/01\/so-they-had-this-guy-buy-back-in.html\" target=\"_blank\">Borepatch<\/a>)\n<li>A pro-vaccine doc told the fedgov officials he worked with that <a href=\"http:\/\/fullmeasure.news\/news\/cover-story\/the-vaccination-debate\" target=\"_blank\">vaccines could, under some circumstances, cause autism<\/a>. Then the coverup began. (This article also contains background on the federal government&#8217;s secret vaccine court, in which the taxpayers fund innoculations gone wrong.)\n<li>Forget death panels. Medicare for All <a href=\"https:\/\/fee.org\/articles\/how-medicare-for-all-could-become-the-leading-cause-of-death-in-america\/\" target=\"_blank\">could become the leading cause of death<\/a> in the U.S., no panels needed.\n<li>This year will be the 20th since JFK Jr <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2019\/01\/05\/tv-special-glosses-over-the-truth-behind-jfk-jr-s-doomed-flight\/\" target=\"_blank\">doomed three people, including himself,<\/a> using typical Kennedy recklessness. Don&#8217;t believe the &#8220;this could have been Camelot II&#8221; hype you&#8217;ll hear from the media.\n<li>Reckless, maybe. But here&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radiotimes.com\/travel\/2016-01-24\/meet-the-real-life-revenant-sue-aikens-runs-an-arctic-bb-and-survived-a-brutal-bear-attack\/\" target=\"_blank\">one awesomely gutsy woman<\/a>. The second-greatest film ever made has probably the first-greatest scene of all, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seveninchesofyourtime.com\/cinemas-greatest-scene-casablanca-and-la-marseillaise\/\" target=\"_blank\">as explained here<\/a>. (They&#8217;ll have to pry my DVD of Casablanca out of my cold, dead hands.)\n<li>Has anybody here read any of Seanan McGuire&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Seanan-McGuire\/e\/B002R1LJIW\/?tag=livifree07-20\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;Wayward Children&#8221; books<\/a>? I know nothing about them, but <a href=\"https:\/\/arstechnica.com\/gaming\/2019\/01\/book-review-in-an-absent-dream-opens-the-door-to-the-harsh-goblin-market\/\" target=\"_blank\">this review at <em>Ars Technica<\/em><\/a>, which compares her made-up world to the creations of J.K. Rowling or C.S.
