You still have until the end of the day Thursday to enter the contest<\/a> to win a box of 14 survival\/prep\/adventure books and one DVD.<\/p>\n

I’ve already received a handful of persuasive emails and I can tell it’s going to be hard to choose a winner. I may have to share the best entries (anonymously, of course) with a non-involved and trustworthy person to help me decide.<\/p>\n

Several entrants have said they’re interested only in a few of the 15 items. And that’s fine. It would be a nice opportunity to split the prize between two entrants. But alas, those with preferences are naming the same handful of books.<\/p>\n

The one in highest demand is Even More Dangerously Fun Stuff for Boys Who Never Really Grew Up<\/em>. I don’t know whether that’s because it’s just a cool out-of-print book, or because it has an article in it by Joel Simon<\/a> or because the Amazon prices start at $100 and go up from there. But … um, nope; I can’t divide the prize unless the winner says s\/he’d rather not receive everything.<\/p>\n

I had no idea when I announced the contest that some of the items were listed on Amazon for outrageous sums. But I guess that just makes the giveaway all the more fun.<\/p>\n
