Doing great this week (knock wood). My mouth has healed up nicely and with no pain at all. I’m still gobbling gift supplements to excellent effect. And other than necessities and blogging, I find I’m not missing the Internet much.<\/p>\n
The other day I had a bit of extra time on the library’s wifi and decided to make a quick cruise through some of my regular (until 10 days ago) daily news feeds. I found I wasn’t even interested — though after going a week without hearing the names Jussie Smollett or Anybody Kardashian, I was unsurprised to find them still in the news. <\/p>\n
I was equally unsurprised to find that Smollett is no longer a tragic victim<\/a> of eeeeeeeevil, MAGA-shouting, anti-gay, anti-black white racists lurking on deserted, frost-biting streets in the middle of the night for the sole purpose of pummeling the (now former) third lead of a TV show few Trumpists have ever heard of, let alone viewed. (Said brutal right-wing thugs being careful, of course, to do as little physical damage as possible while inflicting maximum media-luring symbolism.)<\/p>\n —–<\/p>\n Even without news cruising, a few (very few) interesting links still find me.<\/p>\n Here’s my absolute favorite of the week: Estonian workers rescue a … well<\/a>, let’s just say they thought<\/em> it was a dog, and in their care and that of a vet it seemed like a dog for a while. But nope. Great story even if it doesn’t have an authentic dog in it.
