So let&#8217;s look at the other side of life, okay? <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First (and apropos of what I was just ranting about), there&#8217;s new help <a href=\"https:\/\/ssd.eff.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">for self-defense against surveillance<\/a>.\n<li>And (via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lewrockwell.com\" target=\"_blank\">LewRockwell.com<\/a>), an advanced &#8212; if moderately pricey &#8212; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.earthclassmail.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">option for snail-mail privacy<\/a>. (And a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.runtogold.com\/get-a-ghost-address\/\" target=\"_blank\">review of the service<\/a>.)\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/theultimateanswertokings.blogspot.com\/2011\/03\/well-thats-unacceptable.html\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;She Don&#8217;t Like Firefly.&#8221;<\/a> LOL. Are Joel and I at risk of blog incest? Dunno. But he does find some damn funny things.\n<li>Daniel Radcliffe. The more you learn, the more he seems like a cool, <a href=\"http:\/\/popwatch.ew.com\/2011\/02\/11\/daniel-radcliffe-how-to-succeed-behind-the-scenes\/\" target=\"_blank\">bright (check out him singing Tom Lehrer)<\/a>, together, young man &#8212; not to mention an actor who has the guts to push his boundaries. I mean, from Harry Potter to the mad young man in <i>Equus<\/i>? That&#8217;s a leap. Now he&#8217;s done it again. He&#8217;s opening as J. Pierrepont Finch in one of my very favorite old musicals <a href=\"http:\/\/popwatch.ew.com\/2011\/03\/09\/daniel-radcliffe-how-to-succeed-exclusive-photo\/\" target=\"_blank\"><i>How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying<\/i><\/a>. Yes, Harry Potter. Dancing, singing, and acting the rogue. Hard to imagine anybody bettering the performance of the original Finch, Robert Morse. But gotta give Radcliffe points for the try. <i>How to Succeed<\/i> is so dated its had time to lose its charm and then regain it again. I would <i>love<\/i> to see this revival. I watched an itty-bitty Daniel Radcliffe the other day in an old BBC\/PBS production of <i>David Copperfield<\/i>, and you know, he was good even then. But with the risks he takes, it&#8217;ll be fun watching him strive to find his limits.\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Well. That was depressing.
