Meantime, between that and ongoing deadlines, posting may be &#8220;lite&#8221; around here.<\/p>\n<p>In case you&#8217;re looking for good reads to get you through your Monday morning (or any other day) &#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;Jake MacGregor&#8217;s&#8221; novel <a href=\"http:\/\/theadvisornovel.blogspot.com\/2011\/05\/chapter-one.html\" target=\"_blank\"><i>The Advisor<\/i><\/a> has grown by four chapters since I linked to it last week. A world-class read, truly. This guy can tell a story.\n<li>Via Brad at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wendymcelroy.com\/news.php\" target=\"_blank\">WendyMcElroy.com<\/a> (and indirectly via C^2), here&#8217;s a great old one: Vernor Vinge&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.webscription.net\/chapters\/1416520724\/1416520724___4.htm\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;The Ungoverned.&#8221;<\/a> Who says an anarchist society couldn&#8217;t protect itself against invaders?\n<li>Along those same lines, here&#8217;s another oldie-goodie that a lot of folks hereabouts have read. But since it&#8217;s one of the best stories <i>ever<\/i> about individual resistance to govocracy (and since it relates to that Big Thought I&#8217;m working on), it bears repeating: Eric Frank Russell&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abelard.org\/e-f-russell.php\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;And Then There Were None.&#8221;<\/a>\n<li>And let&#8217;s not forget that our own <a href=\"https:\/\/thementalmilitia.com\/forums\/index.php?topic=25972.0\" target=\"_blank\">MamaLiberty<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bussjaeger.org\/fiction.html\" target=\"_blank\">Carl-Bear Bussjaeger<\/a> have some pretty good reads, as well. (I couldn&#8217;t find a good link to MamaLiberty&#8217;s book, which may be because she&#8217;s in the process of publishing it &#8220;for real.&#8221; So I linked to the Mental Militia thread &#8220;MamaLiberty&#8217;s new story.&#8221; Mama, if there&#8217;s a better link, I hope you&#8217;ll post it in the comments.)\n<li>You asked for it.
