This came this morning from Daniel Adams of the wonderful “Facebook for farmers,” Earthineer<\/a>. (Check it out if you haven’t already.)<\/p>\n

“Federal Agents Demand Customer Lists from Mormon Food Storage Facility.”<\/a><\/p>\n

Given the lack of detail in the report (which<\/i> federal agency, which<\/i> Mormon facility, and did anybody ask to see a warrant or a subpoena?) I’m not 100% sure it’s true.<\/p>\n

But you and I can be 100% sure more than one fed agency wants<\/i> to know who’s storing food or making other preparations for hard times — and that those they learn about will be considered potential “terrorists.” <\/p>\n

Sometimes, these things are “innocent.”<\/a> Yeah. As innocent as a sleeping viper.<\/p>\n

Fifteen years ago, a detailless report of feds probing Mormons would have gone into the paranoia file. These days …? Well, no need to be paranoid. Just to be smart.<\/p>\n
