(Tip o&#8217; hat to MJR.)\n<li>Judge makes the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sfgate.com\/cgi-bin\/article.cgi?f=\/c\/a\/2012\/01\/30\/BAIM1N0JPG.DTL\" target=\"_blank\"><i>right<\/i> ruling<\/a> for a change in the case of a cop who taped over his badge.\n<li>Did you see this <a href=\"http:\/\/msnbc.msn.com\/id\/8305836\/ns\/#.TxyQdCPO93f\" target=\"_blank\">strange story<\/a> about a 12-year-old girl being protected by lions?\n<li>MamaLiberty, a firearms trainer (among her other skills), discusses thought processes, techniques, and legalities of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blogtalkradio.com\/sonsoflibertyriders\/2012\/02\/01\/brush-fires-of-the-mind\" target=\"_blank\">armed self defense<\/a> on the BrushFires of the Mind podcast. Apparently she&#8217;s becoming a regular for those of you who enjoy listening to podcasts. (The interesting stuff starts nearly 10 minutes in.)\n<li>Google (in its guise as Blogger) is adopting <a href=\"http:\/\/mashable.com\/2012\/01\/31\/google-twitter-country-censorship\/\" target=\"_blank\">country-by-country censorship<\/a> by redirecting you to a country-specific site, depending on your IP address. Dumb as this is in general, it really plays havoc on those of us who have variable IP addys and sometimes <i>appear<\/i> to be surfing from furrin parts.\n<li>Even the victims who had the scariest encounter with him <a href=\"http:\/\/siouxcityjournal.com\/blogs\/crime_watch\/crime-watch-victims-of-barefoot-bandit-speak-out\/article_bf20eb92-b66f-5ca9-bda0-11d8e9557685.html\" target=\"_blank\">have some sympathy for the Barefoot Bandit<\/a>.\n<li>I never thought I&#8217;d link <i>favorably<\/i> to PETA. But I ran across <a href=\"http:\/\/www.peta.org\/cfs-filesystemfile.ashx\/__key\/CommunityServer-Components-ImageFileViewer\/CommunityServer-Blogs-Components-WeblogFiles-00-00-00-01-48\/1440.TKviolence300.jpg_2D00_300x0.jpg\" target=\"_blank\">this poster<\/a> while doing an image search on a completely unrelated topic.
