Chortle. (And thanks, JS.)\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.huffingtonpost.co.uk\/2012\/02\/03\/fbi-and-scotland-yard-phone-call-anonymous_n_1252601.html\" target=\"_blank\">Poetic justice<\/a>.\n<li>Obama vs the Catholic church. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/the-catholic-churchs-fight-against-obama-is-totally-unprecedented-in-american-history-2012-2\" target=\"_blank\">And vice versa<\/a>.\n<li>If you had any doubt that copyright overreach had sunk to absurd lows, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wsws.org\/articles\/2012\/feb2012\/intv-f07.shtml\" target=\"_blank\">you can become a true believer now<\/a>.\n<li>Another state legislature <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rawstory.com\/rs\/2012\/02\/01\/washington-lawmakers-introduce-bill-condemning-ndaa\/\" target=\"_blank\">takes on the NDAA<\/a>. (How much would you like to bet that these guys wouldn&#8217;t have done it had the NDAA been signed by <i>their<\/i> president?)\n<li>Shouting lampposts and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bigbrotherwatch.org.uk\/home\/2012\/02\/robocop-camden-shouting-cameras.html#.TzFgoeQrWDU\" target=\"_blank\">shouting cameras<\/a>. Only in the world&#8217;s foremost nanny state &#8230;\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/what-if-were-beyond-mere-policy-tweaks-2012-2\" target=\"_blank\">&#8220;How Once Great Empires End.&#8221;<\/a> Aside from the fact that &#8220;great empire&#8221; is an oxymoron, Charles Hugh Smith says this very well.\n<li>But once again, enough of the bad news. Here&#8217;s your Awwwwww moment for the day &#8212; and this time it doesn&#8217;t involve dogs! Seems a couple of months ago, the Toronto, Ontario, zoo found itself with a newborn polar bear that couldn&#8217;t be kept with its mother.
