A couple of people asked how they can give me a Christmas present. So I’m posting some ways:
1. My Amazon.com wish list. Other Claire Wolfes (Wolves?) have Amazon wish lists. But if you see the one that has California dried apricots, DVDs, knitting books, dog books, anarchist books, and (of course) cool flashlights … you can be pretty sure you’ve got the right one.
2. Send money via PayPal. Click the button, and fill in any amount you wish. “Donate” was the most appropriate button they had. While I’m not a charity, I am a good cause. 🙂
3. OTOH, if you say, “Why the hell should I give her anything?” (and after all, I just did wonderfully on your purchases of autographed books and have a lot of nerve to be blegging now), but you’d still like to do an everyday good deed without costing yourself one cent extra — simply make all your Amazon purchases in the coming year by using one of these links: LivingFree or ClaireWolfe. Enter Amazon via either link (bookmarking the page would be nice, too). Then, whatever your purchase during that visit earns me a small commission. And THANK YOU to the people who’ve already been using the links. A couple have made dazzling purchases within the last month. But even the smallest purchases add up.

I’ve had trouble with your Amazon page before and just gave it up. Now AGAIN, when I put in my eddress at the link you gave, your “wish page” is a 404 saying, “Looking for something? We’re sorry. The Web address you entered is not a functioning page on our site. Go to Amazon.com’s Home page.”
What gives?
Pat, I’m sorry you’ve had that trouble and I wish I had a solution. I can’t imagine why the Amazon Associates links wouldn’t work for anybody. As to the wish list … if anybody else has trouble, please let me know. I have it marked “private” only because the alternative of making it public and searchable is too out-there to contemplate. But I’ve tested and found that accessing it via a direct link works for me even when I’m not using my regular browser and not logged in. So I don’t think it’s completely private when I share the link with friends.
If it turns out nobody but me can see it, I’ll make it public for Christmas. Sorry again, Pat. Beyond that, I have no idea what’s up.
I thought it had to do with cookies, remembering history, or pop-up blocking, but when I allowed all of that on both Firefox and IE, it still doesn’t work. It refuses to recognize your Amazon page. (I wonder if certain words [such as Anarchy] are now a red flag it doesn’t wish to deal with.) If no one else has a problem, then I guess it has to be my computer.
The wish list link doesn’t work for me either (404 page pops up). If you don’t have “The Handbook for Rebels and Outlaws” by Mark Mirabello yet, you can have my copy (I wasn’t that impressed with it, it’s no “179 Things..” for sure… but might as well pass it on).
Sorry, Ragnar. Okay, I just changed the settings and the link. So if the Amazon wish list isn’t visible now, Mysterious Forces must be working against us.
Thank you for the offer of the book! I’ll email you privately to take you up on that!
Here’s the revised Amazon wish list link: http://www.amazon.com/registry/wishlist/2SOJZIOIMIUZ5?reveal=unpurchased&filter=all&sort=priority&layout=standard&x=12&y=7
It’s working! Thanks…
Oh, that’s a relief! Thanks for letting me know, Pat — and I’m sorry again that you had to go through that trouble. Mea culpa.
Still can’t figure out why the Amazon associates links won’t work for you …
No problem with the wish list or both associates links. Using Google Chrome browser.
I hope you will not be mad at me, but please check out http://www.zazzle.com/macknight999. You can have your pick of any one item you want for Christmas.
Hooooray, Claire! You found a way to spark some money ~ good idea, even with the momentary technological problems…..I think nearly the entire world buys on Amazon now a days LOL….
Amazon can be handy, but for the frugal I’d caution against making it a one-stop shopping place. My current job involves taking phone orders for a popular toy company (not saying which one), and I’ve taken several complaints about Amazon’s markup. One toy with a suggested retail price of $40 was listed on Amazon at $179.99, and it was not the exception!
Mac the Knife — Mad? Not even a chance! What a wonderful thing you’ve done. And what fantastic artwork by Eddie Lee. I’ll post a link to the shop in tomorrow’s blog. And I might just take you up on a fridge magnet.
But LOL, I wonder how many Moles are going to blow their own cover via your merchandise …
Thanks Claire. Glad you like it. Let me know which Freedom Outlaw fridge magnet you want and it will be on the way. Santa may include a little something extra too. Just send me an email or post your answer here.
Once the Christmas shopping is done I plan to get some of my own merchandise for myself!
“I wonder how many Moles are going to blow their own cover via your merchandise”
Funny you should say that, I was just trying to figure that out……I may have to get a p.o. box under the name “ghost” or something, since I keep finding so many cool things to buy via this little Tribe here…..
