- Big surprise. Kids apparently don’t learn much in their first two years of college.
- “Sit. Stay. Parse. Good Girl!” More on that incredibly learned border collie. (NY Times free subscription link.)
- Don’t you think the WSJ should have called BS on this? What a load of you know what.
- Oh yeah. That’s how to solve Europe’s problems: counterfeit. (And no need to point out that the Euro is already counterfeit. Don’t we all know …)
- More on the topic of the week.
- The last paragraph is freaking brilliant.
- Great Gary Marbut is at it again. The idea isn’t new: to force fedcop agencies to get written permission from the local sheriff before searching, seizing, arresting, etc. But with Gary behind it, there’s no telling where this could go.

Claire,
A libertarian/Anarchocapitalist friend of mine made a true if poorly worded blog post about giffords shooting.
I read on drudge today that he had his firearms license taken away in MA. The article made it sound like they took his guns too.
What can WE do?

Anybody that has spent time around colleg students and recent graduates would argue they don’t learn much the second two years either. Just another indication that the traditional education system is in great need of overhaul. Currently it is just a profit seeking system to support teachers and administrators who would otherwise be unemployable. As long as the tuition is being paid and salaries being made the academics don’t seem to really care about quality of their product. If graduates are ignorant, it is someone else’s fault, not the school.
Claire,
Travis asks that we don’t spread this too far and wide just yet. (as if drudge isn’t doing that enough already)
Thanks,
Chris
