- A good man died last week. Al Woodbridge. Although he was only one of many abused by the ATF in the 90s (and by federal kangaroo courts), he was one of the toughest. H/T to JJ.
- I really like the way James Altucher thinks.
- This guy, on the other hand is edging toward the real answer but is still way sidetracked. Will he ever get the Real Clue, do you think? (But Occupy Wall Street is seriously interesting, isn’t it?)
- Common sense and enlightenment raise their battered heads once again in the world of mind-altering drugs.
- A good article on the trend to punish where no mens rea is present (except in the minds of the evil prosecutors). Too bad the MSM is discovering this trend about 15 years too late.
- “California and Bust.”
- The endless ingenuity of thieves.
Yeah, we’ve all had those days …

Not sure yet, but I may “go dark” for a day or two. I’m switching from Comcast cable Internet (great product but the promo rate just ran out and they wouldn’t match a better offer) to CenturyLink. C’Link’s competency is dubious, but they made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. Been too busy to get and set up the needed DSL modem, so I may not have that done by the time Comcast goes goodbye.
If all goes well, I’ll be with you. If not, I might have a down day or two.

Is there anything I can help with? I do work for Comcast. Send an email to our group and attention Steve.

Thanks
Steve Teow — Well, that’s nice of you. I really had fine service from Comcast (and I still seem to have it this morning, though yesterday should have been my last day) and would have been happy to stay. I’d much rather stick with one provider than switch around. But after my 12-month promo rate ran out, my monthly rate took a big jump. Knowing you guys live by promo rates these days, I both contacted the Comcast chatline and called the Comcast toll-free number. But in both cases they just flat-out said they couldn’t match CenturyLink’s “Pure Internet” offer. Comcast’s best rate was 33 percent over C’Link’s. And C’Link says their rate will be automatically extended next year if I just call and ask for that.
I would have loved to stay with Comcast. The product was trouble-free and just as advertised. I thank you for the offer of help. But too late now, I’m afraid.
After recently finishing the book Unintended Consequences by John Ross I was particularly struck by the story of Al Woodbridge. I had never heard this story. Maybe I am naive here, but where the heck was his lawyer during all of this? Seems he should have been filing for judicial prejudice of some kind. I am not a lawyer, but it seems he should have had some recourse instead of simply taking it in the shorts from an anti-gun judge. In any case it is stories like this that reinforce why the ATF should be abolished.
Have you seen this video of Adam Kokesh interviewing People with the Occupy Wall Street movement?
“The ignorance displayed in these interviews knows no bounds.”

I had met Al Woodbridge and knew his story well.
Do you have info on how he died and when?
I have no further info, Hanza. Nor can I find any online, sorry. I’ll ask the person who sent me the info; or perhaps she’s already reading this and will supply some detail.
