Wow. I deliberately didn’t post my Amazon wish list or a donation button this season. You guys have already done too much for me and I know how tough this year’s been for a lot of people.
But it seems a mere lack of links doesn’t stop you. π
Last week, multiple Amazon packages for me showered in from reader MJR. DVDs! Emergency gear! (MJR, if you’re out there, please give me a way to thank you.) A mysterious package of California dried apricots I got might have been MJR’s, too, though the apricot vendors didn’t include a note. Whoever sent it — whoohoo!
Then the doggies got the first of two boxes (“Woof! Squeaky balls!”) from long-time supporter MSJ — enough toys to keep ’em jumping for years.
Then “A” dropped a comment here demanding that wish list link. So I blush, but there you go.
I’m having a merry (though extremely busy) December already. So please don’t consider this a bleg; I’m in great shape. Above all, take care of you and yours.
But thank you for using these links for your Christmas shopping:
Just use this link whenever you shop at Amazon.com. Any time. All year long. Bookmark it.
Use this link to buy from Paladin Press.
Or buy copies of Hardyville Tales for under the Christmas tree.
Pooh– I just ordered from Amazon yesterday… I’m bookmarked for next time, though!!
Laura — Well, the thought counts for a lot. And the link is good all year ’round. So thank you.
I’m thinking of giving Christmas cards this year,… and That’s it.
… and maybe a lump of coal?
Well, clark, if they sell lumps of coal at Amazon.com … π
We already have all of your books, but I am curious as to when the next issue of BHM is due to hit the stores- the one with your cover on it. I will likely wipe out our local retailer and hand those out to family and friends. Probably not as Christmas gifts, as we are celebrating the BIRTH of Christ, not his return. Perhaps as “Welcome to 2012” gifts. π
Last year you posted a list for Santa and his helpers.
That was a year ago…..
A — Oh my. The issue of BHM with “my” cover on it will come out in early February. According to the BHM grapevine, it’s likely to be a doom-and-gloom issue, with end-of-the-world- (or end-of-the-world-NOT) related articles by John Silveira and me.
Buying up newsstand issues would be extremely cool because Dave predicted this cover would give BHM unusually big newsstand sales and I’d like to see him be right in that prediction.
I’ve been avoiding posting a Santa’s helper list or a bleg for donations because I already feel abashed at how much I’ve been given and because this year, for the first time in a long time, I don’t feel pinched and needy. But Santa has some very, very determined helpers. Without a word from me, I’ve already received bounteous boxes of gifts from my Amazon wish list (thank you, MJR π ) and I hear that my four-legged family members are expecting their own Santa visit soon (thank you MSJ π )
And now, you ask. I may just have to go ahead and make a post about that wish list after all.
Hmm. The Amazon wish list. Where is that located again?
You are one persistently generous fella, A. Okay, okay, you should be able to find that wish list here:

Yes, there it is!!! I was looking for your Amazon link a while ago (because I didn’t save it to begin with) and now I have it bookmarked, cuz I learned my lesson *snickering*……
You have a lot of cool stuff on your wish list, too…..
YA know lady, ur a bit on the slow side some times.
You (and I am talking about you Claire) are an important member of all of our families and we try and take care of family members !!!
Hey Claire,
I’m happy that the stuff reached you. Yep the apricots were from me and, dough head that I am; I didn’t write any message because I thought they would send the order all together. These few things are my way of saying thanks for the entertainment you have afforded me over the years. I hope that you have a wonderful Christmas and super new-year.
In case anyone missed my previous comment, I thought I might post it again here. After all it is about Christmas. ; )
After my previous comments, Iβve decided to google any possible 12 Days of Guns songs.

A tip on firestarters:
Cotton balls smothered in petroleum jelly are the best thing going.
When it comes time to use one, pull it apart and light the dry cotton at the core. Small, cheap, and virtually waterproof, those suckers BURN. You can smoosh a bunch in a 35mm film canister (film development places may still give those out for free if you ask), an empty medicine vial, or one of those “Airborne” vitamin C bottles. Or whatever.
If you REALLY are bored you can mix in shavings from a magnesium fire block with the jelly.
Try it out at home first to develop faith in them.
Ehhhh. The reason why I typed that was I thought you had firestarters on your list.
ooops.
No problem, A. Somebody will probably google upon your firestarter advice and find it very useful.
FWIW, I make my own firestarters & even did an article on them for BHM a few months ago.
Merry Christmas Claire! You should have another box to stuff under the tree in a few days π
Late to the party as always….My package goes out tomorrow.
Aw, LibertyNews … Aw, Karen …
