- Not that I think jail is a sensible solution for anything here. But imagine if every government VIP whose projects went wrong were treated like this.
- “Does America Now Qualify as a Police State?” Well now, there’s a no-brainer …
- But inventiveness never ceases to amaze.
- Bush war crimes under investigation. Not in the U.S., of course.
- Even “Raging Grannies” are against SOPA now. Its House and Senate (PIPA) sponsors have blinked. Not good enough, still. But progress.
- Hey, what about the poor dog’s privacy? (Tip o’ hat to JB.)
- Ron Paul money bomb for South Carolina still going strong. The big Ron Paul organizer in our area held meetings today. I tell you, anarchist or no, and snow or no (we had quite the weather going), I was pretty tempted to drop in. I hope Ms. Organizer’s not reading this; she knows where I live.
- You remember the old expression, “If we told you, then we’d have to kill you?” Well, times have changed…
Yeah, we’ve all had one of those days.
(Several tips o’ hat to M.)

Great stuff on the underground economy. The one problem with the EU, and why it’s doomed, it’s it’s nothing but an attempt to regulate all commerce, their intended reason for being. Greeks would have been in much worse trouble if not for this underground economy and not so oddly enough it’s growing and will probably make up 80 percent of the economy by next year. Italy has about 1/3 of their economy off the books and Monti, the German appointed (“Democracy? We don’t need no stinking democracy”) ruler of Italy is going out of his way to make cash transactions illegal. It will fail. The Central Banks can’t exist without hosts to attach themselves to but always fail to understand that without outside sustenance the host will wither, thereby killing the central bank leech.
As far as miscellany goes, I haven’t hardly had time to breathe in the last couple months, but this one really did just make me giggle:
