Super Bowl Sunday links

I fear that in the last couple of days of not posting (deadlining, sorry), I may have lost track of all the hat tips due for links. So hoping I’m not leaving anybody out, thank you’s to P, F, H, and M.)

Be interesting to turn those “self-guided” bullets against the drones (human or mechanical).

I forgot all about Lawnchair Larry! Thanks for the reminder. Whacky fun.

Sorry about the way he ended up, though even at the time I don’t recall anyone suggesting he was exactly the sharpest knife in the rack…

I read about the “smart” bullet the other day….and I’m still shaking my head at that one…First of all, it’s a nasty huge thing to have suddenly fly up and slam into someone….and I’d hate to be accidentally in the way by simply walking at the wrong place at the right time, and no, I don’t trust technology to make the proper corrections in time to miss me, either…..

Underground bunkers look more and more appealing every day….

I pulled this from Wikipedia regarding Lawnchair Larry…

“Regional safety inspector Neal Savoy was reported to have said, “We know he broke some part of the Federal Aviation Act, and as soon as we decide which part it is, some type of charge will be filed. If he had a pilot’s license, we’d suspend that. But he doesn’t.”

That is the problem with our out of control government. When they want to sink you they simply go through the vast laws and regulations and find something to nail you with. They never seem to have an issue finding something to pin a felony or two on you.

Mic, I thought that Wikipedia paragraph was one of the funniest sad things I’d read in a long, long time.
