Thanks, loved it!
That’s awesome.
On a related note, Alan, a riding acquaintance, is celebrating his 70th birthday this Saturday. A bunch of the local (and not-so-local) Randonneurists (about 30 as of last count) are going on a 70 mile bike ride (Alan’s newest RUSA-approved route), then meeting for pizza, cake and beer afterwards. I fervently hope that Alan doesn’t finish so far ahead of me that he drinks all the beer.
If you don’t know anything about Randonneuring and the RUSA, 70 miles is a ‘short’ route (some these guys do a 1200k bicycle ride every year; that’s crazy even by my standards).
Very cool. I miss my motorcycle.
Also cool: New center offers help for dogs consumed by fear.
There’s more to living than just staying alive.
I’m 63 and it’s getting a little difficult to horse a 500lb Triumph around any more. I’ve been spending some time over at advrider.com looking at threads where people go touring on 250cc thumpers. Guess I need to slow down and enjoy the scenery. Oregon is a nice state to ride in.
