I think this was from a short story, but I don’t remember who wrote it or where I read it.
No doubt the witch took it out of my mind.

Or they’re off with their Beemers and trophy wives, where the kids can visit a couple of weekends a year. Or prisoners of the WoD. Or Mom was too drunk to know who they were.
There’s a new “reality” show being advertised on TV. “Dating while pregnant.” And it isn’t about dating the “man” who got the datee pregnant.
But at least the kids in the video had A parent. For several years I worked at a residential “child care” facility housing teens in state custody. Those are the kids that give the video kids a bad name.
