Well, to no great surprise, we now get a glimpse of Bloomberg’s idea of “grassroots.” His new Everytown for Gun Safety outfit paid demonstrators to protest at the NRA annual meeting. And when a gun-friendly reporter tried to question Bloomy’s plastic PR “mom” Shannon Watts, Watts was whisked away. By armed guards. In an SUV bearing New York license plates.
Oh yeah, this “grassroots” effort is going really, really well.
ADDED: Just lookit that incredible mob of “grassroots” hoplophobes!
Inside the convention hall, better things transpired.
We had a bigger “mob” than that at our last Women on Target session, and I live in a small town.
Looks even smaller then the so called Million Moms March, and most of those were there mainly to shop. Leastwise that’s how the articles I’ve read “interpreted” the situation.
The big thing to remember is that people like Bloomberg have the insane idea that they actually have some moral or other authority to tell other people how to live.
If people believe that any “government” has a legitimate authority to control their lives and property, they will submit as much as they can endure, and always hope that they can “elect the right people” to exercise that authority in a more kindly fashion next time.
Once they realize that no non-voluntary government, anywhere, EVER had any legitimate authority to control them, they will begin to learn how to be self owners instead of slaves. A big job, and the sooner we can start, the better.
An idea struck me for those who find themselves in similar situations to David Hardy’s: if you set up a videocam to record a public event, and some shill deliberately stands in front of it to prevent your doing so, use your handy cellphone to get pictures of the individual. Both good facial shots and shots to establish what the person is doing.
Then put those on the Internet.

I think the bigger problem is the people who believe that government has the authority to control, and think that Bloomberg wants to control other people’s lives and property. Too many of them don’t understand the Golden Rule of political power: The power you give the government to do unto others will be used to do unto you.
Such people are eternally surprised when a Bloomberg drops a hammer on them.
I always think that hoplophobes should have a state of their own to live in (and screw up as they please), but lately it looks like just giving them a county would do it.
What I wonder is, does Bloomberg ever feel a sense of embarrassment? What a pathetic loser.

There’s more than enough BLM land in Nevada.
