Joel asked me to let everybody know that he’s temporarily lost Internet service (he didn’t say why) and that The Ultimate Answer to Kings might not see any new posting for a couple of days. Drat! TUAK is always a favorite stop for the day.

Miss it , when he doesnt post.
Yep, Rose, so do I. Joel’s blog always has something … different. And well-written. And useful. And entertaining. And thought-provoking. And sometimes sooooo funny.
I always enjoy my fellow curmudgeon’s take on life’s happenings.
He definitely has a unique perspective.
Thanks for the update! It’s kind of surprising how few problems with the internet he has out there. Last year’s outage was a bummer, hope this one doesn’t last as long.
Well rats! Thanks for the headsup Claire. An unannounced disappearance would have been worrisom. Desert Hermits may be able to escape the .gov, but not the readership. š
It’s the stoopid chicken’s fault. Obviously doing something stupid to make the internet break.
LOL
LOL! But naturegirl, if stoopidness makes the Internet break, it should have collapsed into rubble a decade ago! (But blaming the chickens is still a good idea.)
Karen — Pretty scary when you can escape the NSA, but not coloradohermit or Bustednuckles!
naturegirl is right. It’s the Smithers Effect. He shouldn’t have eaten Smithers.
So this is Smithers giving Joel the “indigestion” he wrote about? Hm. Interesting theory …
Back. Sort of.
Cliffs Notes version: My provider account is in somebody else’s name, and that somebody got his/her bank account hacked. Provider attempted an automatic withdrawal, found the account zeroed out, and suspended the account without so much as a nastygram.
Curse all ID thieves. And thieves of all other types, for that matter. And Wildblue, which sucks.
I figured it was something simple, like the dish falling off the wall again. Glad to hear it got sorted out.
