- “The boy who invented email.” Wonder why more of us don’t know this. When “experts” had dismissed it as too difficult, a precocious 14-year-old invented email.
- Love this from Brigid: stripper clips and “Lab” dances.
- More snoopery? No problem. More privacy tools.
- Haven’t really been a fan of Rand Paul’s (for the usual “he’s not Ron” reasons). But this is a good guy.
- SNL thinks Obama is nothing to laugh at.
- Do all languages derive from a common ancestor?
Finally, via Keith in a comment over at Joel’s Gulch, here’s a funny for ya. The Expert. If you’ve been in the corporate world you’ll identify.
I like Rand Paul, partially because he is not his father. He has shown he has his own ideas and principles etc, not just a lock step parrot of Ron. The fact that he is more than just a politician is a good thing. I am not a big fan of his politics at this point. He wavers to much, not sure if he wants to be part of the establishment or go his own way as his father did. It is good that he has a skill to fall back on and seems to be keeping it current. Glad he went to Guatemala for vacation, although he probably could of waited for those kids to show up here on their vacation.
Yeah well if you take a gander at the qualifications, skills, & abilities of a typical member of the senate or high-end politicos, they end up being pretty meager. Hell, they’re nearly all lawyers, many of whom have never even actually practiced law to boot! So go figure? As actual productive members of society they got nothing for the most part. So good on Dr. Paul.
“Lab dances?” Oh me… thanks, Claire. I really needed some laugh time today. 🙂
I really need to write the story of the time I innocently, accidentally managed to drive a van full of Cub Scouts into a nudist colony… honest, it was an accident!
Only a few of the parents continued to issue threats after I explained it… but I had the best attendance at my Den meetings for a very long time afterwards! LOL
14-year-old boy invented email?
Probably not true … see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shiva_Ayyadurai
Meanwhile, Tuesday is National Dog Day.
Grumpy Cat is unimpressed.
Claire – thank you for the link. If you’d like a copy of my first book “The Book of Barkley” which sold out briefly on Amazon, drop me a mailing address in a “do not post” – comment on my blog and I’d happy to send you an autographed copy. Thanks again for visiting!
