Earworms x 2

Joel isn’t the only one who sometimes wakes up with “interesting” songs looping through his head.

This morning there’s this one:

(Lyrics & backstory)

But! The good news is I got rid of it!

The bad news is I got rid of “Daddy Wouldn’t Buy me a Bow Wow” by filling my brain with “I Love a Cop.”

You’re in luck, though. The only available YouTube performances of that one are too screechingly awful to link to, so the link is lyrics only. Song’s actually kinda cute. It’s just the idea of the thing …

All in all, I’m beginning to think that nooz and poly-ticks are less painful than this.

Actual content later.

Soooo, you thought you’d get rid of it by passing it on? Gee, thanks! ; )

Granted those were pretty bad, but I’ve heard worse.

I usually don’t wake up with songs in my head. But the last song I hear on the car radio before trudging into work is likely to stay with me all day.

I call it an “ohrwurm”, like the Germans do. I don’t think there is much danger of “bow wow” getting lodged in my ear, heh. Usually it is some old 70’s rock and roll song that is really lame. I usually try to replace it with something by Beethoven, which is less objectionable as it’s playing and is too old-school to hang around long. That usually works.

I’ve had songs stuck in my head, too. But I can’t imagine it happening with that one!

OMG. Dana. Can’t be unseen. Or unheard. Warning everybody: DON’T CLICK. 🙂

(OTOH, it would have been okay if we’d have seen & heard from the “JERK” one more time before the end.)
